The North-South Expressway construction project in the Eastern phase 2021 - 2025, the section through Quang Binh province, has 3 component projects, with a length of 126.43km, passing through 6 districts, towns and cities with 35 communes and wards.

Before forcibly reclaiming land from the families of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet and Mr. Ho Dang Anh, Quang Binh province handed over to the Project Management Boards a length of 126.08km/126.43km, the remaining 349m.

After the enforcement this morning, the whole province still has 279m with 15 cases that have not been released.

According to Mr. Dang Dai Tinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Le Thuy district, the site clearance work in the district is very difficult because the area is the longest in the province, the project passes through a densely populated area (nearly 1,000 households). Along with that, the land history is complicated, land transferred from forestry farms, encroached land, disputed land, no origin of land use time... makes it take a lot of time to handle. In addition, the district is also entangled with a solar power company and nearly 700 graves.

“After unsuccessful efforts, the District People’s Committee and related units have carried out enforcement to facilitate the project’s smooth implementation. Today and tomorrow, the District People’s Committee will carry out enforcement and reclaim land from three households in Phu Thuy commune to hand over the site to the construction unit,” said Mr. Tinh.
