(NLDO) - Thanks to Co.opmart supermarket, my family has experienced many culinary tours across Vietnam and at the same time, we love and trust Vietnamese products even more.
1. When I was little, my mother took me to buy uniforms for the new school year. The saleswoman pointed to a white shirt hanging outside and said: “It’s made of Thai fabric, does it feel good to the touch?” My mother fondled the shirt for a while and then asked the price. Because she didn’t have enough money, she chose another one for me, in the back corner, from Nam Dinh textile.
Seeing my face fall, my mother encouraged me: "Vietnamese products are not as eye-catching as imported products, but they are of good quality and durable. You will know when you wear them." At first, I did not believe it, but after several years, the shirt was still pure white, without any yellow stains, and my sister "inherited" it for another 2 years before reusing it to wipe her hands. I began to believe that Vietnamese products are really durable.
2. I graduated from high school, my house was 15 kilometers from school, my parents bought me a new bicycle. My friends in the neighborhood all bought Japanese mini bikes, but I "bravely" went to school with a masculine Thong Nhat bicycle.

As a girl at the age where I started to like to dress up, I pouted and asked to change my bike. My dad said: “This bike is very smooth, my daughter. It doesn’t make your legs feel tired when you go long distances, it doesn’t break down much, and you don’t have to worry about being late for school.” Hearing that, I agreed, although I still loved the Japanese mini bike.
One day, my friend’s bike broke down so he went with me. While we were riding together, he suddenly said: “I like your bike, it’s so light”, and then asked to change bikes. So every other week, he and I changed bikes. My friend was “addicted” to my Thong Nhat bike, while I was a little less “addicted” to his Japanese mini bike. That was when I realized that Vietnamese products are “quite good” after all!
3. I went to college, then graduated and worked, had the opportunity to go on business trips and visit many places. Wherever I went, I never forgot to buy gifts for my parents, sometimes Hai Duong green bean cakes, Ninh Binh burnt rice, Hue sesame candy, Binh Phuoc cashew nuts, Phu Quoc fish sauce... My parents praised every dish, saying that Vietnamese specialties are still number one. I know my parents love to travel, but unfortunately both of them get seasick, and my mother has foot pain, so they can only travel through the small screen.
Since I learned about the One Commune One Product (Ocop) program, I am very happy because even at home, my parents can enjoy all the regional specialties. The day I brought home a jar of Ngoc Lien pickled vegetables, my mother was surprised: "This dish is truly Hue, did you ask someone there to buy it for you?"
“I bought it myself, Mom. I just found out that Co.opmart supermarket sells a lot of Ocop products. Ordering online is both convenient and fast. From now on, I will take you on a local culinary tour once a week!” - I promised.
Mom likes Viet Cuong vermicelli in Thai Nguyen, I took my phone to Cooponline.vn, typed in the product name and found it right away.
Thanks to Co.opmart supermarket, my family has experienced many culinary tours across Vietnam and at the same time, we love and trust Vietnamese products even more. I hope that more and more Ocop products will be connected and sold at supermarket channels, especially Co.opmart, to spread more stories about the solidarity and creativity of Vietnamese people.
