Songwriting contest about social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance policies

The songwriting contest on the social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance policies of the Party and the State aims to attract and encourage professional musicians, civil servants, public employees and citizens to compose songs on the social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance policies of the Party and the State, thereby selecting songs with high content and artistic quality, expressing the unique characteristics of the Vietnam Social Insurance industry. Through songwriting, the outstanding achievements of the Vietnam Social Insurance industry in recent years are introduced, contributing to highlighting the image of the pillar of the social security system.

The specific rules of the Contest are as follows:

1. Contestants

Professional musicians, civil servants, public employees inside and outside the Vietnam Social Security sector and all citizens (Members of the Organizing Committee, Jury, and Secretariat of the Competition are not allowed to participate).

2. Content of the entry

The songs in the contest reflect and express the following content:

- Characteristics of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies that Vietnam Social Security is implementing.

- The noble humanity of the Party and State's social security policy contributes to stabilizing the socio -economy and developing the country to become increasingly prosperous and happy.

- The potential, strengths and great achievements of the Vietnam Social Insurance industry in the field of social security since its establishment (February 16, 1995) up to now, have contributed to the development of the entire Vietnam Social Insurance industry firmly, modernly, professionally and comprehensively in the new period.

In addition, the Competition encourages musicians to explore and create new ideas in musical structure, lyrics, performance methods and exploit new materials, especially songs with heroic sounds.

3. Form, quantity

- Contest songs can be performed in any form such as: solo, trio, group, choir...

- Contest songs by individuals or groups of authors. Each author or group of authors can submit no more than 03 contest songs.

- The Organizing Committee will arrange for authors and groups of authors to visit and conduct field research at the Vietnam Social Security Agency or at the Social Security of provinces and cities (if the authors and groups of authors have a need). Time to register for a visit with the Organizing Committee: from the date of launching the Contest (expected in May 2024) to the end of May 31, 2024.

4. Time to receive work

Time to receive song entries from the launch date of the Contest until August 15, 2024.

5. Application form

- 01 original copy of the contest song with full music and lyrics, clearly typed or handwritten on A4 paper.

- 01 CD of recorded song or USB containing high quality music file. + Contest registration form according to the Organizing Committee's form (attached).

- Written agreement of the authors authorizing one or a group of authors to represent them in the contest (if the song belongs to multiple authors).

6. Method of submitting entries

- Entries must be put in a sealed envelope, clearly stating on the envelope: Song participating in the Songwriting Contest about Social Insurance, Health Insurance, Unemployment Insurance policies of the Party and State.

- Contest songs are sent to the Contest Organizing Committee in person or by post .

- Reception address: Youth Union of Vietnam Social Security Agency (No. 6 Cuong Kien, Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi) or contact comrade Doan Thuy Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Youth Union of Vietnam Social Security Agency (phone: 0977.928.969) to send the song for the contest.

7. Competition prize structure

- 01 Special Prize: worth 50,000,000 VND.

- 02 A prizes: Each prize is worth 20,000,000 VND.

- 03 Second prizes: Each prize is worth 10,000,000 VND.

- 05 Consolation prizes: Each prize is worth 3,000,000 VND.

8. Copyright

- Authors participating in the Contest must comply with all regulations in the Rules and take legal responsibility for their entries.

- The song must be new, not submitted to any other contest, not published and not subject to copyright or related rights disputes. If the song is found to have won an award or violated the Law on Intellectual Property or the Law on Copyright, the Organizing Committee will revoke the award and widely announce it in the mass media. Songs that copy or imitate the ideas and melodies of lyrics of other authors at home and abroad will not be considered for awards.

- After the end of the Contest, the Organizing Committee will keep the composed songs without returning them to the authors and co-authors; at the same time, the owner of the musical songs has the right to use the songs to serve the communication work and activities of the Vietnam Social Insurance industry in any form without having to pay copyright fees and other related rights to the authors.

- Authors or groups of authors have the right to complain about the results of the Contest. Complaints from authors or groups of authors (if any) must be sent directly in writing to the Contest Organizing Committee for consideration and resolution.
