Miss Multicultural World 2025 contest draws attention to its entry requirements

For the first time, the Miss Multicultural World 2025 contest will expand the age range as well as have more open criteria than a typical domestic beauty contest to attract candidates.

According to the announcement from the Organizing Committee of the contest, female citizens of countries and territories around the world, from 18 to 33 years old (based on valid passports at the time of the contest announcement) can compete at beauty pageant New - Miss Multicultural World 2025. Another new point for this beauty contest is that the rules clearly state the conditions: Contestants must never have been married and single mothers are accepted.

While Miss Vietnam - the most prestigious and largest national beauty pageant - still maintains the age limit for contestants from 18-27, some other contests such as Miss Universe Vietnam also follow the new regulations of Miss Universe (Miss Universe) now also no longer limit the age of contestants. Women of all ages can register to participate in Miss Universe.

Ms. Phan Kim Oanh, founder and copyright holder of the Miss Multicultural World 2025 contest, shared: "We have researched domestic and international contests. In today's modern society, many girls choose to be single mothers instead of getting married. This is their choice and I want to create conditions for such girls to participate in the contest."

However, besides the advantages in attracting candidates, it is certainly also a big challenge for the Organizing Committee of the contest because the more candidates participate, the more difficult the selection from the Jury will be. In addition, when evaluating the candidate's profile, verifying "never married" is already very difficult, but this contest also "accepts single mothers", the challenge to ensure accuracy will increase many times, especially when the candidates come from many countries around the world.

Answering the question of how this contest has built its reputation since its first organization, Ms. Kim Oanh said: The girl who wins the crown at this contest will play an important role in honoring and promoting cultural diversity, raising awareness and understanding of cultures between countries around the world. This is also an opportunity to promote the beauty of traditional culture and natural landscapes of Vietnam to international friends. Contestants will experience the unique features of Vietnamese culture through activities such as Ao Dai performances, culinary experiences, participating in traditional festivals and visiting historical sites...

With its own characteristics from the name, the Jury of the Miss Multicultural World 2025 contest needs to set selection criteria to harmonize and integrate beauty with the cultural knowledge of the contestants. "Multicultural means that the contest will introduce many cultures of many countries, we must choose what the contestants introduce to be consistent, so that the contest is not distorted and limp, that is the general criterion of the contest", Mr. Bien affirmed.

The competition officially starts on September 26, 2024.
