The winding road hidden among terraced fields during the ripe rice season makes many tourists passing by surprised by the surreal, picturesque scenery in Lao Cai .
Located on DT 156 route from Lao Cai city to Y Ty commune, the bend in A Lu commune (Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province) has recently become a "hot" destination on the internet because of its surreal, picturesque scenery.
The bend on the road from Lao Cai city to Y Ty commune (Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province) caused a "storm" on the internet because of its surreal, picturesque scenery.
Hoang Van Huy (from Hanoi, currently working in tourism in Cao Bang - Ha Giang) said he took photos of the impressive bend during his trip to explore Y Ty on August 19.
While traveling through this area, seeing the enchanting natural scenery, Huy used a flycam (unmanned aerial vehicle) to capture beautiful moments from above.
“The air here is fresh and cool, and the wild landscape immediately attracted me. When I arrived, the rice fields along the road had turned yellow, giving off a pleasant aroma,” the young man recounted.
According to the young man, near the bend there is a milestone marking the location 7km from Y Ty. If you have the opportunity to travel through this route, visitors can stop to take pictures at some beautiful terraced fields or check-in at the "sunset tree" not too far away.
“I asked the locals and was told that around the end of August, the rice here will be fully ripe. Therefore, if you come here at this time, you can admire the road and the golden season at its most beautiful,” Huy suggested.
Although it was the first time he set foot on this bend, the 9X found the surrounding scenery overwhelming and unique. He commented that this place deserves to become a new destination attracting travel enthusiasts to experience a different golden season in the Northwest, in addition to familiar locations such as Nam Cang (Sa Pa) or Muong Hum (Bat Xat) in Lao Cai.
On the occasion of the upcoming September 2nd holiday, visitors can visit Y Ty and experience the impressive bends, admiring the yellow terraced fields.
To reach the bend on DT 156 route, if starting from Sa Pa town, visitors move in the direction of Ban Xeo, Muong Hum to A Lu commune.
In addition, visitors can also follow the route from Lao Cai city to Kim Thanh and Trinh Tuong, then to Lung Po and to A Lu commune. Both of these routes have a total length of about 90km.
Around August and September, many terraced fields in Bat Xat district begin to ripen, turning bright yellow, attracting many visitors. Not only is Y Ty a famous "cloud hunting" destination, visitors coming here at this time can combine exploring picturesque rice fields and enjoying the fresh, pleasant atmosphere.
However, this is also the time when many mountainous areas experience floods and landslides. Tourists need to pay attention to weather forecasts to have a safe trip and ensure convenient travel to tourist destinations.
In addition, the number of visitors to Lao Cai in particular and the Northwest in general during the rice harvest season is very large, especially on weekends, so visitors need to contact accommodation facilities in advance to book accommodation or hire a local tour guide to assist if needed.
