Emulation cluster of the Lawyers Association of the Northern mountainous provinces summarizes the emulation work in the first 6 months of the year

On the morning of June 27, in Sa Pa town, the Emulation Cluster of the Lawyers Association of the Northern Mountainous Provinces reviewed the emulation work in the first 6 months of the year and deployed directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2023.

Attending the conference were comrade Tran Cong Phan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President, General Secretary of the Vietnam Lawyers Association; representatives of the leaders of the Lawyers Associations of the Northern mountainous provinces.

In the first 6 months of 2023, the emulation work of the Provincial Lawyers Association in the emulation cluster has always been focused on. The work of building policies and laws has been carried out regularly. The work of propaganda, dissemination and legal education has been promoted. The forms and methods of propaganda are diverse and have many innovations, suitable for each subject and each region. The propaganda content is practical, closely linked to people's lives, contributing to creating changes, improving legal understanding, awareness of respect and compliance with the law of the people. Thereby promoting socio-economic development, ensuring local security and order. Legal consultancy and legal aid work has been maintained and implemented regularly, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people, especially ethnic minorities, remote areas, etc.

In addition, there are some difficulties and limitations such as: The methods of operation and organization of the Association's activities are not uniform at the grassroots level, mainly integrated activities. Information exchange, reporting, and coordination in implementing tasks are sometimes not timely and effective. Funding for implementing the Association's activities is still limited, and facilities and minimum equipment for the Association's work are lacking.

Delegates discussed and proposed many solutions to implement key tasks in the last 6 months of 2023 such as: Continuing to promote the patriotic emulation movement associated with organizing the excellent completion of the tasks of the Association and the locality; well organizing emulation movements according to the launch plan of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Lawyers Association and the emulation cluster. Disseminate and thoroughly educate cadres and members to grasp the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on emulation and reward work. Continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively organize the implementation of the conclusions and directives of the Central Party Secretariat and the Prime Minister. Proactively promote activities to participate in policy and law making; well implement the contribution of comments on draft laws and legal documents of the Central and local levels; strengthen coordination with sectors and mass organizations in the provinces to effectively implement the programs and plans for coordination of work signed in the localities; Pay more attention to and emphasize the work of building, fostering, praising and replicating advanced models in the emulation movement in all areas of the Association's work...

The conference also assessed some results of the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, term 2019 - 2024; the results of the implementation of Directive No. 14 dated July 1, 2022 of the Politburo and the study, dissemination and implementation of Plan No. 1829 dated May 4, 2023 of the Government Party Committee; and preparations for organizing congresses at all levels.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Tran Cong Phan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Lawyers Association highly appreciated the results that the Emulation Cluster of the Lawyers Association of the Northern Mountainous Provinces has achieved in the first 6 months of 2023, and at the same time hoped that the Lawyers Association of the provinces will continue to promote the achieved results, build a strong association organization, build a team of lawyers with good professional expertise, steadfast in ideology, politics, dedicated to the profession and improve the quality and effectiveness of the association's activities, contributing to building a rule-of-law state of the people, by the people, for the people and well preparing for the organization of congresses at all levels.
