Overview of the working session
On the same afternoon, the working delegation had a working session with the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and representatives of airlines and tourism businesses after inspecting the work at the scene. Speaking at the meeting, Director Nguyen Trung Khanh said that the inspection of preparations for the holiday and peak season showed the quick, effective and timely involvement of state management agencies in the field of Tourism - Aviation, the close coordination of localities, relevant authorities, tourism and aviation service providers to prepare the best conditions to serve tourists during the peak holiday of April 30 - May 1 and the summer of 2025.
Director Nguyen Trung Khanh speaks at the meeting
The Director said that in the first 3 months of 2025, the total number of international visitors to Vietnam reached over 6 million, an increase of 29.6% over the same period last year. This is also the highest number of international visitors in a quarter ever. For Khanh Hoa, traditional tourism markets are gradually growing again, especially the Russian tourist market. In particular, today the province welcomed the first flight of IKAR airline carrying Russian tourists to Khanh Hoa. To date, there have been 4 Russian airlines flying to Khanh Hoa in 2025.
In Vietnam, tourism activities are seasonal for both domestic and international tourism markets due to market characteristics, geographical location and climate, especially in coastal areas. Khanh Hoa is located in the South, tourism activities are less affected by climate but is a key coastal tourism area of the country, so it attracts a large number of domestic and foreign tourists, especially during the 'opening' period of coastal tourism activities during the April 30 - May 1 holidays and summer every year. At this time, tens of thousands of tourists gather every day, affecting the supply capacity and service quality of the locality.

Director Nguyen Trung Khanh noted that traffic congestion is caused by a large number of vehicles at the same time. In particular, in recent years, domestic tourists tend to travel by themselves, so they use more personal vehicles, leading to an even more stressful situation.
Ensuring security and safety for tourists is an essential requirement, especially during peak times, at destinations with too many people and vehicles. Along with that, the risk of traffic accidents, overloaded services at accommodation facilities, unsanitary conditions, food safety, pressure on disease prevention, medical services... also increases. If tourism businesses do not have a contingency plan and strictly control the situation, they will lose initiative, affecting their business reputation.

Therefore, to ensure the reception of guests during the holidays and the peak summer season of 2025, Director Nguyen Trung Khanh requested the tourism industry of Khanh Hoa province to focus on ensuring security and safety for tourists regarding food safety and hygiene, paying attention to the origin of food; complying with regulations on fire prevention and fighting. At the same time, improve service quality, diversify products, avoid price increases, price gouging, list prices and sell at the listed price, service prices must be listed in the reception area, in a visible place, where guests access before using the service.
Promote propaganda work so that people, businesses, business households, and tourists raise awareness of voluntarily complying with the law and ensuring regulations on disease prevention, environmental sanitation, food safety, and attention to traffic accident prevention.
Promote and introduce tourist destinations and products and services to tourists based on promoting cultural identity, historical traditions, characteristics of the land, people and local culinary specialties.
Strengthen inspection, examination, supervision, timely detection and strict handling of organizations and individuals that do not ensure tourism business conditions, tourism service quality standards; violations of tourism laws and related laws.
Pay attention to environmental sanitation and waste collection, including compliance with environmental protection regulations, waste treatment and collection procedures, and hazardous waste. Prepare facilities and equipment to ensure readiness to serve guests, especially during peak tourist seasons.
At the same time, arrange a specific duty schedule and hotline to promptly and effectively resolve any issues that arise.
