The Food Safety Department proposed to recall fake food and nutritional products in the form of powdered milk.

NDO - After receiving a dispatch from the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security, the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) requested units to review, inspect and coordinate with local competent authorities to recall all 12 food and nutritional products (in the form of powdered milk) that are counterfeit goods currently on the market.

On April 23, the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health) issued Official Dispatch No. 832/ATTP-PCTTR to the Department of Health of provinces and centrally-run cities; the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City; the Food Safety Management Board of Da Nang City; and the Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Departments of provinces and cities requesting the recall of food and nutritional products (in the form of powdered milk) that are counterfeit.

The dispatch stated: On April 23, 2025, the Food Safety Department received Official Dispatch No. 1095/VPCQCSĐT-P3 dated April 22, 2025 from the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency requesting coordination in the fight against, prevention of crime, and detection of illegal acts, in which 12 food and nutritional products (in the form of powdered milk) were identified as counterfeit goods in violation of the provisions of Point b, Clause 7, Article 3 of Decree 98/2020/ND-CP dated August 26, 2020 of the Government.

Accordingly, the Food Safety Department requested units to review, inspect and coordinate with local competent authorities to recall all 12 food and nutritional products (in the form of powdered milk) that are counterfeit goods currently on the market; coordinate with the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security to handle and resolve according to the provisions of law.

At the same time, it is necessary to advise people not to use 72 milk products that are being further investigated by Rance Pharma International Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company and Hacofood Nutrition Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company until the final conclusion of the Police Agency (the list of 72 products is in this link).

The Food Safety Department also requested units to continue to strictly implement the Ministry of Health's instructions on strengthening inspection, examination, and handling of violations of food safety and the Food Safety Department's official dispatch on strengthening inspection and post-inspection of fake and poor quality food.
