On social network X, Foreign Minister Rodríguez wrote: “The United States and Israel are destabilizing the Middle East with the doctrine of imposing peace through force.”

Cuba's top diplomat denounced the US bombing of Yemen, killing hundreds of civilians, while Israel attacked Syria, threatening the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He described Israel's actions in Gaza as "a carefully calculated genocide" that left 50,144 Palestinians dead and 113,704 injured.

Earlier, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel accused Israel of continuing to “destroy Palestinians under US protection in defiance of international law,” and stressed that Tel Aviv “bombed hospitals, refugee camps and United Nations facilities, in flagrant violation of International Humanitarian Law.”

Cuba has repeatedly denounced to the international community Israel's expansionist behavior in Palestinian territory, while affirming its steadfast support for the two-state solution as the optimal solution to end this historic conflict.

Meanwhile, Cuba has just received a group of 60 illegal immigrants who were deported by the US. This is the third repatriation of Cuban citizens since President Donald Trump took office in January this year.

According to Cuban state media, the repatriations were carried out under an immigration agreement between the two governments. Cuba has received 13 repatriation flights from countries in the region so far this year, with a total of 367 people. The Cuban government stressed its commitment to ensuring “legal, safe and orderly” migration, while warning of the risks of leaving the island by illegal sea routes.

Havana and Washington have a bilateral agreement to repatriate all illegal migrants who arrive in the US by sea, along with deportation flights for those deemed “inadmissible” after detention at the US-Mexico border (restarting from April 2023).

Data from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) shows that 217,615 Cubans arrived in the United States in fiscal year 2024, which ended on September 30. Over the past four years, the number of migrants from the Caribbean island to the United States has reached more than 860,000. Cuba's Interior Ministry said that the country received 1,384 repatriates in 2024.
