The report indicates that the two earthquakes (measuring 6 and 6.7 on the Richter scale) injured at least seven people in Granma province. Twenty-six houses in the province completely collapsed, and approximately 70 educational and medical facilities were damaged.
Authorities in Granma also recorded nine landslides. Across the country, the Cuban National Center for Seismological Research (CENAIS) reported more than 1,000 aftershocks.
The building was partially damaged after the earthquake in Cuba.
Writing on X, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez said: "We are assessing the damage to begin the recovery process. The first and most important thing is to save lives."
