Cua Lo immediately handles the problem of overcharging for parking tickets on the opening night of tourism

On the evening of April 19, at Binh Minh Square, Vinh city, Nghe An, the opening ceremony of Cua Lo Sea Tourism Festival 2025 took place with the theme "Cua Lo shining dawn".

From 4 p.m. the same day, tens of thousands of people and tourists flocked to Cua Lo beach to bathe and relax during the weekend and hot weather.

Not only people from Nghe An province, many groups of tourists from Hanoi, Hung Yen, Phu Tho, Thai Binh… also came to Cua Lo beach to experience the atmosphere on the first day of the opening of the beach tourism festival.

What is special this year when tourists come to Cua Lo is that this locality has merged into Vinh city since December 1, 2024 according to the resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

However, on the opening night, some tourists complained about the overcharging for motorbike and car parking, which made people angry.

On a social networking forum in Nghe An with nearly 150,000 followers, an account shared: "Cua Lo car parking costs 80k (80,000 VND/time - PV). How can tourism develop (- PV)?"

Upon receiving this information, the leaders of the People's Committee and Nghi Huong Ward Police Department investigated and found that the people's reflection was well-founded. After that, the authorities made a record to handle the spontaneous vehicle parking unit, which collected more money than the prescribed amount.

This timely handling has received a "shower" of praise from the online community, aiming to ensure a safe and civilized tourist season, avoiding the situation of "ripping off" tourists.

Previously, in preparation for the 2025 Cua Lo tourist season, Vinh city announced that it would organize free bathing spots, parking lots, etc. to serve tourists.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Ms. Tran Thi Cam Tu - Vice Chairwoman of Vinh City People's Committee - shared that Cua Lo is considered a green gem of Nghe An - evaluated by the World Tourism Organization as one of the most ideal beaches in Vietnam.

Coming to Cua Lo, visitors can immerse themselves in the ocean, admire the majestic Mat and Ngu islands, sit on the rocks and enjoy the melodious music of the waves on Lan Chau island, walk on the smooth sand to admire the gentle and elegant sea daisies, and listen to the salty and affectionate taste of the ocean.

"Cua Lo tourism is becoming a very attractive destination for tourists after 117 years of formation, 30 years of development and especially after becoming part of the administrative boundary of Vinh city to make Vinh a coastal city," said Ms. Tu.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Cam Tu, Cua Lo tourism in 2025 will have many attractive and interesting activities along with the development of new entertainment services on the coast and on Ngu Island to attract tourists with the goal of reaching over 6.9 million visitors.

Ms. Tu hopes that in recent years, Cua Lo will have a more beautiful and cleaner appearance, with a variety of services, as well as build a safe, friendly and civilized tourism environment, preserving and promoting the unique traditional values ​​of the locality to welcome and serve domestic and foreign tourists.
