On the morning of May 9, the National Assembly delegation of Unit 10 met with voters of Hoc Mon district before the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly. During more than 2 hours of work, voters raised many opinions on issues of education, traffic safety and order, personnel work, etc.
At the conference, Ms. Phan Thi Tuyet Anh, a voter in Hoc Mon town, recalled the incident of a teacher at an international school in Ho Chi Minh City distributing books with sensitive content to 11th grade students and the incident of an American international school having an early summer break due to a lack of teachers, which caused a stir in public opinion recently.
From there, this voter said why international schools have very high tuition fees but many problems arise in management and curriculum. In order not to affect the rights of students, Ms. Tuyet Anh suggested that the education sector pay more attention and inspect international schools more closely.
Commenting on this issue, Mr. Phan Nhat Trung, a voter in Ba Diem commune, expressed his agreement and questioned whether the authorities were loosening management, creating hidden corners in the educational programs at international schools.
According to Mr. Trung, if history is not focused on, students will not be able to develop pride in their national history from a young age, and when they grow up, they will be easily influenced by other toxic environments.

At the meeting, voters also expressed their opinions on reducing the age limit for using motorbikes over 50cc, given the fact that many middle and high school students are driving these vehicles. In addition, voters were also interested in increasing the monitoring and speed control of electric bicycles.
Representing the delegation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le - Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council - acknowledged that the opinions of voters were all closely related to people's lives. Ms. Le said that the voters' reflections on the quality of education at international schools were all in line with current reality.
The Chairwoman of the City People’s Council shared that she also agreed with the potential risks of speeding on electric bicycles. Regarding the idea of reducing the age limit for driving motorbikes, Ms. Le said that the delegation had accepted and noted it to make proposals and recommendations suitable to reality.
Voters are upset about the constant traffic jam on Nguyen Van Bua Street.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Ha (voter of Xuan Thoi Son commune) stated the current situation of Nguyen Van Bua street, which is the main road of the district. There are many schools on the street, and there are many vehicles traveling there, but traffic jams are constant due to the narrow road surface.
Responding to voters' feedback, Mr. Duong Hong Thang - Chairman of Hoc Mon District People's Committee - said that for many years the locality has proposed to expand Nguyen Van Bua Street according to the planning, but the city has not been able to balance the capital source.
Mr. Thang informed that the City Department of Transport has compiled opinions from the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and reported to the City People's Committee to propose asking for the City People's Council's opinion on additional capital to expand Nguyen Van Bua Street to solve the traffic congestion problem.
