On the afternoon of September 29, at the People's Committee of Nam Ha ward, the National Assembly Delegation of the province had a meeting with voters of Ha Tinh city before the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly.

At the beginning of the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee Le Anh Tuan informed voters about the expected content and program of the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly and the results of the activities of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation since the 5th Session.

Presenting opinions at the meeting, voters of Ha Tinh city highly appreciated the activities of the provincial National Assembly Delegation and expressed interest in the expected contents of the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Voters in Ha Tinh City hope that the provincial National Assembly Delegation will continue to propose to the Politburo, the Government, and central agencies to stop exploiting the Thach Khe iron mine; balance the budget to effectively implement salary reform; pay attention to regulating and stabilizing market prices; and continue to more drastically implement the fight against corruption and negativity with more effective measures.

Voters also proposed to effectively exploit tourism resources, strengthen promotion and advertising, and enhance the image of Ha Tinh tourism to domestic and international tourists; pay attention to the spiritual life of the elderly; actively resolve outstanding land issues, especially historical cases; have solutions for suspended projects and slow-progress projects that affect people's lives and production; continue to remove difficulties in implementing policies for grassroots commune officials.

Considering that the arrangement and merger of villages, residential groups, wards and communes is the basis for gradually streamlining the political system from the grassroots level and improving the quality of operations, voters of Ha Tinh City requested that there should be specific instructions to ensure the suitability in merging administrative units.

Voter Doan Thi Diem Huong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thach Binh commune is concerned about the issue of public asset management.

Voters also said that in areas where projects are being implemented, land is being limited and people have difficulty finding jobs. Therefore, there needs to be a mechanism for investors to have vocational training plans and create jobs for people when implementing projects.

Tighter management of public assets; attracting investment to avoid planning suspension; investing in regional traffic systems; handling agency and unit headquarters after mergers; ensuring irrigation in production; strict management of extra teaching and learning; problems in site clearance for large projects... are also issues voters are concerned about.

On behalf of the National Assembly Delegation of Ha Tinh province, Comrade Hoang Trung Dung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province thanked the responsible and frank opinions of voters of Ha Tinh city and accepted, explained and discussed a number of issues of concern to the people.

Comrade Hoang Trung Dung also provided specific information on the contents related to the merger of administrative units, handling of surplus assets after the merger; school health; progress of the North-South expressway; upgrading the irrigation system; tourism development...

Comrade Hoang Trung Dung emphasized that for opinions and recommendations under the authority of the locality, he requested that departments, branches and Ha Tinh City promptly consider and resolve them, meeting the legitimate aspirations of the people. For recommendations and proposals under the authority of the Central level, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation will fully receive, synthesize and send them to the National Assembly and relevant agencies for consideration.

Comrade Hoang Trung Dung also informed about some highlights of the province's socio-economic situation and emphasized the development orientations and tasks of the province in the coming time, including the task of expanding the scale of Ha Tinh city, meeting the standards on area and population scale.

The Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress sets out that by 2025, Ha Tinh must meet the standards of a new rural province and by 2030, Ha Tinh will become a fairly well-off province in the country. This is a huge task that the Party, government and people must focus on implementing, therefore, requiring the attention, support and sharing of the people of Ha Tinh City and the whole province in general.

Regarding the Thach Khe iron mine exploitation project, comrade Hoang Trung Dung informed that up to this point, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has sent a document to the Government requesting to stop exploitation.
