80 year old man swept away by flood waters and missing

Previously, at around 2:40 p.m. on April 23, during heavy rain, the water in To Ngoc Van stream flowing through the area rose, Mr. Hoang Thanh unfortunately slipped and fell into the stream and was swept away.

An environmental sanitation worker witnessed the incident but was unable to save the victim due to the strong currents.

To Ngoc Van stream flows through ward 6, Da Lat city.

Upon receiving the news, the police of Ward 6, Da Lat City coordinated with relevant forces and the victim's family to search along To Ngoc Van stream towards Cam Ly waterfall and Lam Ha district. To date, the victim has not been found.

In recent days, Da Lat City has experienced the first rains of the season. Some areas often have localized heavy rains, causing water in low-lying areas and streams to rise and flow rapidly, affecting crops and endangering people.
