Solemnly held the memorial service for comrade Nong Hong Thai, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee

On the morning of September 10, at Group 6, Ngoc Xuan Ward (City), the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the family solemnly held a memorial service for comrade Nong Hong Thai, former member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. Attending were comrades: Tran Hong Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Funeral Committee; Trieu Dinh Le, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; representatives of departments, branches, sectors, unions, relatives and people.

Provincial delegation attended the funeral of comrade Nong Hong Thai, former member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

Comrade Nong Hong Thai was born on July 24, 1934; hometown is Vinh Quang commune, Cao Bang city. Former member of the Party Central Committee, 7th and 8th terms; former Secretary of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee; National Assembly delegate, 8th and 9th terms. Throughout the process of participating in the revolution and working, experiencing many difficulties and hardships, he always upheld the spirit of a true communist party member, strived to cultivate revolutionary ethics, overcome difficulties and challenges, and set an example in excellently completing assigned tasks. In each working position, he always demonstrated steadfast political will, loyalty to the Party and the regime, devotion to the people, and lived an exemplary life, faithful to comrades and friends. He actively worked with the local Party Committee and government to lead the political system and people of all ethnic groups in Cao Bang province to successfully carry out the local political tasks. With those contributions, he was awarded the Second Class Independence Medal by the Party and State; Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; 55-year Party membership badge and many other noble titles.

Provincial leaders observed a minute of silence to bid farewell to comrade Nong Hong Thai to his final resting place.

After a period of illness, despite the devoted care and treatment of doctors and family, due to old age and poor health, he passed away at 10:30 a.m. on September 6, 2023 (July 22, Quy Mao year), at the age of 90.

At the memorial service for comrade Nong Hong Thai, many delegations of officials, people, and organizations came to pay their respects and attend the memorial service, sending comrade Nong Hong Thai to his final resting place at the family cemetery of Ngoc Xuan ward (City).
