According to Dan Tri reporter, on the evening of September 6, at Gemek Tower apartment building (Hoai Duc, Hanoi), sandbags were brought out to block the glass doors to avoid strong winds.
At Geleximco urban area (Hoai Duc, Hanoi), people are still rushing to carry sandbags and use tables to block basement doors to avoid flooding from heavy rain.
Mr. Hai, a resident of this urban area, said that during previous heavy rains, his basement was flooded to the level of the street, and his refrigerator and furniture were all damaged. Therefore, upon hearing that the storm was about to hit, his family quickly packed sandbags to block the basement entrance this afternoon.
Ms. P, a resident of the urban area, added that every time it rains heavily, the Geleximco urban area is flooded. So, her family had previously made a stainless steel basement partition. As for the water pipes, she used rolled up nylon bags to prevent water from flowing into the domestic water tank.

Giving advice on storm prevention, some experts said that residents in apartment buildings should check whether the parking basement is flooded or not to come up with a plan to protect their property. On the part of the apartment building management board, there should be a plan to prepare a drainage pump system in case of flooding.

In fact, Geleximco Urban Area has been flooded many times during heavy rains. Most recently, on July 23, due to the influence of storm No. 2, after only one day of heavy rain, the roads leading to Geleximco Urban Area were deeply flooded and submerged in "water" all the next day. At that time, people had to roll up their pants to wade across the street, many adjacent houses were deeply submerged in water.
