The Ministry of Health said that on May 25, there were 1,174 new cases. Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 11,607,654 cases, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories, while with the rate of cases per 1 million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories (on average, there are 117,304 cases per 1 million people).
Data reported daily by the Department of Health of provinces and cities on the Covid-19 Management System of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health shows that on May 25, 439 patients were announced to be cured, bringing the total number of cured cases to 10,636,873.
There are currently 70 severe patients, of which 59 cases are on oxygen through masks; 9 cases are on high-flow HFNC oxygen; 2 cases are on non-invasive ventilation; 1 case is on invasive ventilation.
On May 25, 1 death was recorded in Ben Tre. The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,206.
On May 24, 16,392 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were administered. Thus, the total number of doses administered was 266,401,187. Of these, 223,733,999 doses were administered to people aged 18 and over: 70,909,131 doses for the first dose; 68,455,591 doses for the second dose; 14,344,114 doses for the supplementary dose; 52,130,897 doses for the first booster dose; and 17,894,266 doses for the second booster dose.
Vaccinations for children aged 12-17 years old are 23,965,543 doses: 1st dose is 9,130,889 doses; 2nd dose is 9,021,366 doses; 1st booster dose is 5,813,288 doses.
Vaccination for children from 5-11 years old is 18,701,645 doses: 1st dose is 10,227,624 doses; 2nd dose is 8,474,021 doses.
