On August 25, Long Son Cement Company coordinated with distributors and the Education Promotion Association of Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa provinces to organize a scholarship award ceremony for students of Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa provinces for the 2023-2024 school year.
Long Son Cement Company and distributors awarded 220 scholarships, each worth 6.3 million VND to 220 students. Of which, Thanh Hoa province has 120 students from 12 districts and towns in the province receiving scholarships with a total amount of 756 million VND. Ninh Binh province has 100 students from 8 districts and cities in the province receiving scholarships with a total amount of 630 million VND. The scholarship recipients are primary and secondary school students who are orphans and from families with especially difficult circumstances.
This year, the new point in the scholarship awarding activities of Long Son Cement Company is that there are more secondary school students receiving scholarships and the scholarship amount is increased from 4.5 million VND/student/school year to 6.3 million VND/student/school year.
The activity of awarding scholarships to poor but studious students in Thanh Hoa and Ninh Binh provinces is an annual activity of Long Son Cement Company. The scholarships have contributed to adding strength and encouraging students with especially difficult circumstances to strive in studying, training, becoming good children, good students, and useful citizens for society.
The scholarship also demonstrates the Company's social responsibility in its production and business activities, demonstrating the spirit of "mutual love" and the special attention of the leaders of Long Son Cement Company to students with less fortunate circumstances.
On this occasion, the leaders of the Ninh Binh Provincial Association for Promotion of Education awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee to Long Son Cement Company for its achievements in supporting scholarships for students in difficult circumstances in Ninh Binh province in the period 2019-2023.
