AEONMALL Vietnam Co., Ltd. was leased more than 100,000 m2 of land to build a shopping center in Quang Thanh ward (Thanh Hoa city).

The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 3790/QD-UBND, dated September 19, 2024, on leasing land to AEONMALL Vietnam Co., Ltd. to implement the AEONMALL Thanh Hoa Commercial Center (TTTM) project.

AEONMALL Vietnam Co., Ltd. was leased more than 100 thousand m2 of land to build a shopping center in Quang Thanh ward (Thanh Hoa city).

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province leased 104,994 m2 of land in Quang Thanh ward (Thanh Hoa city) to Aeon Mall Vietnam Co., Ltd. The form of land lease is that the state leases land and pays the land rent once for the entire lease period; the land lease term is until December 30, 2073.

The land lease method is that the state leases land without auctioning land use rights, without bidding to select investors to implement projects using land, because AEONMALL Vietnam Co., Ltd. received the transfer of the entire project from the Central South City Two-Member Co., Ltd., approved by the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province in Decision No. 3226/QD-UBND dated July 31, 2024.

In the Land Lease Decision, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to deploy, monitor and inspect the implementation of this decision. During the implementation process, if there are any problems or difficulties, it is necessary to promptly advise and report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration, direction and resolution, ensuring that the implementation complies with the provisions of law.

The Thanh Hoa Department of Natural Resources and Environment was also assigned to revoke the certificate of land use rights, house ownership rights and other assets attached to the land granted to the Central South Two-Member Company Limited. At the same time, sign a land lease contract with AEONMALL Vietnam Company Limited, determine the boundary and hand over the land to the company on the ground.

Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Construction, Provincial Tax Department, Thanh Hoa City People's Committee and relevant agencies to coordinate and create conditions for AEONMALL Vietnam Co., Ltd. to complete the necessary documents and procedures in accordance with the provisions of law on investment, construction, land, environmental protection and other relevant regulations.

Previously, in 2021, at the Vietnam - Japan Investment Promotion Conference, AEONMALL Vietnam Co., Ltd. signed and exchanged cooperation documents on the implementation of the AEONMALL shopping mall project in Thanh Hoa. Accordingly, the AEONMALL shopping mall project in Thanh Hoa has a total estimated investment capital of about 170 million USD.

This is identified as an important project, not only strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and Japan, but also a large project on modern trade and retail, pioneering and symbolic for Thanh Hoa province and the North Central region.
