On January 3, Petrovietnam - the National Energy Industry Group held the Conference of Delegates of Employees of the Group's Management and Operation Apparatus in 2025.

Attending the Conference were Mr. Le Manh Hung - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group; Mr. Le Ngoc Son - Deputy Party Secretary, General Director of the Group; Mr. Tran Quang Dung - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Group; leaders of the Party Standing Committee, Board of Members, Board of Directors of the Group; leaders of the Trade Union, Youth Union, Veterans Association, and 200 delegates representing more than 500 officers, employees and workers (CBCNV-NLĐ) of the Management and Operation Department of the Group.

Mr. Le Ngoc Son - General Director of the Group and Mr. Dang Van Hue - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Group's Management and Operation Department chaired the Conference.


Conference Overview

At the Conference, delegates listened to a summary report on the 2024 production and business results, the direction for implementing the 2025 plan of the Group's parent company and a report from the Group's Management and Operation Union on implementing regulations, supervising the implementation of policies for employees, reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of employees of the Group's Management and Operation.

For Petrovietnam - the National Energy Industry Group, 2024 is the year the Group achieves many goals of the 5-year plan for the period 2021-2025, and is also the starting year for implementing new goals, tasks, and new directions in the development strategy of the Vietnam Oil and Gas industry in the new period.

In particular, the work of managing fluctuations has been implemented synchronously and effectively in the past 4 years (since 2020) and is an important factor determining the production and business performance of the entire Group and the Group's Management and Operation Department. Lessons learned from the effective implementation of "double impact" response solutions from 2020 to present have helped 2024 continue to be a successful year, demonstrated through most tasks and targets being completed ahead of schedule for the whole year, a number of records recorded over more than 63 years of construction and development of the Vietnam Oil and Gas industry.

Specifically, Petrovietnam set a record for the total revenue of the Group when it surpassed the milestone of over 1 million billion VND, equivalent to 9% of the country's GDP, exceeding the annual plan by 36% and increasing by 6% compared to 2023; the Group's total State budget contribution reached 165 trillion VND, accounting for about 9% of the total State budget revenue in 2024, exceeding the annual plan by 75% and increasing by 9% compared to 2023 (151.8 trillion VND); consolidated pre-tax profit reached about 54 trillion VND, exceeding the annual plan by 2.4 times.

With this result, the Group has exceeded all financial targets according to the 5-year plan approved by the Prime Minister after only 4 years (2021-2024). In particular, the total revenue of the Group reached 3.5 million billion VND, exceeding the 5-year plan by 6%, achieving a growth rate of 16.7%/year; the total State budget contribution of the Group reached 600 thousand billion VND, exceeding the 5-year plan by 30%, growing by 21.2%/year.

With the rapid and unpredictable geopolitical, economic and market fluctuations in 2024, the role of "being the core leading, orienting and operating" from the Group's parent company for all activities of the entire Group is even more clearly demonstrated, leaving a strong mark in all the comprehensive and impressive successes of the entire Group in 2024.

Change management has become a culture in Petrovietnam's corporate governance, synchronized from the parent company to all member units; especially change management in 2024 has created impressive achievements, is the driving force for sustainable growth and development, and actively contributes to the process of transforming the model into a National Energy Industry Group of the Group.

Along with that, scientific research, technology development and application activities have been shifted towards efficiency and have made practical contributions to Petrovietnam's production, business, growth and development. The initial results of digital transformation are proof that Petrovietnam clearly identifies the importance of digital transformation as well as gradually forming a synchronous platform throughout the Group.

With the orientation of regenerating Petrovietnam's culture, it has created momentum for business regeneration, paving the way for the strategic development orientation of the Group. The core values ​​of the oil and gas culture "Aspiration - Intelligence - Professionalism - Compassion" are deeply ingrained in corporate life. From here, the awareness of oil and gas workers and the quality of collective activities are higher than before. The spirit of solidarity and coordination in units is enhanced. Cultural regeneration, communication, and social activities are carried out in parallel with production and business activities, serving as a solid foundation for the development of Petrovietnam in 2024 and the following years.

Over the past year, the results of implementing the Petrovietnam Cultural Regeneration Project in 2024 and the Project Implementation Plan in 2025 at the Group's Management and Operation Department have had many clear highlights. The synchronization of cognitive impact through communication and training has changed awareness and unified awareness among employees about accepting and implementing a culture of coordination, meeting culture, culture of respect for the law, and effective management habits. Awareness of participating in collective activities has been enhanced, promoting cohesion, cooperation, and sharing.

The 5S implementation process in departments/offices continues to be maintained along with the response to the movement of planting and caring for trees, creating a lively working landscape with many imprints in the departments/offices. The role of organizations has been clearly demonstrated in organizing activities/tasks to implement the Project. The results of the implementation process after 5 years have created the premise for implementing the tasks of the Project in the next phase, raising the level and deepening the culture of Petrovietnam. The implementation of the Project's tasks has become an important part contributing to the completion of production and business targets, enhancing the brand and reputation of the Group.

Regarding the results of implementing the rights and responsibilities of the labor representative organization, the Group's Management and Operational Apparatus Trade Union has fully supervised the implementation of collective labor agreements and grassroots democracy regulations; ensuring that 100% of laborers have jobs and there are no cases of job loss.

The policies and regimes implemented by the Group ensure fairness in distribution. The Group's leaders have always created favorable conditions for the Trade Union and socio-political organizations to operate. The Group's specialized departments/divisions have coordinated well and coordinated with the Trade Union to promptly and satisfactorily resolve the legitimate rights and interests of employees and employers. The Trade Union and socio-political organizations have performed well in protecting and caring for the legitimate and legal interests of employees.

Petrovietnam General Director affirmed that these are important issues that need to be thoroughly resolved to create a friendly, safe working environment, helping employees feel secure in their work and dedication. Representatives of employees of the Group's Management and Operation Department also discussed and contributed opinions to the reports at the Conference.

According to Petrovietnam General Director Le Ngoc Son, 2024 marks important steps forward for the Group, setting many new records in production and business activities. This is the result of the consensus and continuous efforts of all employees of the Group. This is not only a source of pride but also a motivation for the entire Group to continue striving to achieve its goals in 2025.

On this occasion, Petrovietnam General Director Le Ngoc Son also expressed his gratitude to all employees of the Group's Management and Operation Department in particular and employees of the Group in general for their great contributions in the past year; at the same time, he affirmed the Group's determination to elevate the oil and gas culture, building Petrovietnam into a sustainable and effective organization, actively contributing to the country's industrialization and modernization.

Speaking at the Conference, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam Le Manh Hung acknowledged and praised the achievements in 2024 of the Group's parent company as the "core of leadership, orientation, and management", the core factor creating the overall success of Petrovietnam - the National Energy Industry Group. At the same time, Chairman of the Board of Directors Le Manh Hung hoped that the employees of the Group's parent company would continue to strive and improve labor productivity effectively to achieve even greater achievements in the following years.

Petrovietnam Chairman of the Board of Directors Le Manh Hung emphasized the strategic vision for the period 2024-2045, affirming that this will be a period of "rising vision", enhancing the Group's competitiveness on an international scale. Therefore, improving governance efficiency, optimizing management models, applying technology and promoting digital transformation are key tasks in the coming time with 3 goals of bringing Vietnam into economic integration, integration into human civilization, and integration into the world.

To overcome the challenges in the coming time, Chairman of the Board of Directors Le Manh Hung requested that the Group's Management and Operation Department needs to build an effective implementation culture; enhance the intelligence and knowledge of oil and gas; develop an outstanding governance model; continue to remove and synchronize institutions and policies within the Group; improve diversified investment strategies; restructure the labor force and invest heavily in new technology.

In 2025, with the goal of developing Petrovietnam - a powerful National Energy Industry Group with a position in the region, Chairman of the Board of Directors Le Manh Hung noted that Petrovietnam needs to build long-term strategic goals, "awakening in thinking" and "rising in vision". In particular, the Group's parent company needs to continue to maintain its role as the "leading, orienting, and operating nucleus" of the Group, helping the Group overcome difficulties and challenges in the coming period.

At the Conference, delegates elected the People's Inspection Committee for the 2024-2025 term; commended outstanding collectives and individuals in 2024.
