Implementing the policy of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) on cross-checking, updating and standardizing information on subjects of power purchase contracts (PPPs) with the National Population Database (NDB). Accordingly, from July 2024, Phu Tho Power Company will standardize information, ensuring that 100% of customers under the management unit have their PPPs cross-checked, updated and standardized on the Customer Information System with the NDB.
Thanh Ba Electricity staff updates customer information.
Reconciliation of the subject information of the power purchase contract with the national database is an important topic, especially in the context of digitalization and improving the accuracy and transparency in personal information management. Vietnam Electricity Group has coordinated with the Population Data Center, the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order - Ministry of Public Security to ensure that all EVN power purchase contracts are reconciled with the information in the national database and is expected to be completed in 2024.
According to current regulations, all information of the subjects of electricity purchase and sale contracts must be standardized to ensure customer rights, in order to improve satisfaction and service quality of the electricity industry.
After checking the data of the subject of the Contract with the DBDC, if the customer information is in the "No match" status, a photo of the citizen identification card/ID card will be provided to the power unit under Phu Tho Power Company to check and update the standardization of information with the DBDC.
Currently, there are 407,551 subjects of the Phu Tho Power Company's power purchase contract that do not have data to reconcile or have been reconciled but do not match the data in the power database. For cases where personal customer information is not correct, the electricity industry staff will notify, contact by phone or directly meet the customer to confirm the information through the citizen identification card and then reconcile and update the system.
Standardizing the DBDC also opens up many opportunities for the electricity industry, such as helping power companies monitor population fluctuations to manage the implementation of power purchase agreements or verify statistics on electricity usage, plan investments, and build more efficient power systems.
