To ensure the safety of our customers and households when using electricity, Binh Thuan Electricity Company recommends that our customers take the following preventive measures when using electricity:
When using electricity in the home
1. Select and install protective devices (circuit breakers or fuses) suitable for the electrical load capacity of each device and booth. Absolutely do not use aluminum foil or other metal wires to replace the fuse wire of fuses and switches.
2. When connecting wires, connect them alternately and wrap them securely with insulating tape. Do not pull, tangle, or leave open wire joints.
3. Do not plug the power cord directly into the electrical outlet. Note that installing outdoor advertising signs with lights for a long time has a high risk of electrical short circuit causing fire and explosion.
4. Electrical wires passing through roofs, booths or hanging on metal materials must be insulated with conduit to prevent the insulation from peeling off. Do not hook or hang clothes on electrical wires.
5. Do not place flammable substances (gas, gasoline, oil, paper, etc.) near electrical equipment and appliances such as lamps, electric stoves, electrical outlets, electrical panels, etc. to avoid fire upon contact.
6. Every time you leave the booth, turn off all electrical equipment or best of all, turn off the main circuit breaker to prevent electrical equipment from being left on for a long time, which can cause heat and fire.
7. Regularly check the electrical system (switches, sockets, junction boxes, connections on the line). If there is a spark or sign of fire due to heat, it must be repaired or replaced immediately.
8. Should install anti-shock and anti-touch circuit breakers to protect against electrical accidents and prevent electrical failures that cause fires and explosions.
II. When using electricity to light dragon fruit
1. For water pump motors, the casing must be properly grounded according to technical regulations or the manufacturer's regulations and placed in a high and secure place. Water pump motors placed outdoors must be covered (use a 2.4m long pole with a diameter of 16mm2 driven deep into the ground, the pole head is at least 0.8m from the ground and connect bare copper wire to the motor casing). The wires connected to the motor must be securely insulated.
2. For lights, when connecting wires, they must be connected alternately or with insulated compression tubes. These connections must be covered with wire covers or wrapped with insulating tape (Do not use safety pins to connect wires as is very dangerous now).
3. Before watering, check to cut off the power to the area to be watered and the surrounding area. Be careful not to use a high-powered nozzle that will cause water to splash onto the medium-voltage lines and transformer stations that are energized.
4. When operating the circuit breaker (CB) to turn on the light, your hands and body must be dry. When it rains heavily, do not operate the CB (CB) to turn on the power. You should wear low-voltage insulated gloves for safe operation.
5. When repairing, the circuit breaker (CB) must be cut off, tested for no power, the CB box (CB) must be locked at the station and a sign must be hung right at the CB box (CB) to prevent others from accidentally turning on the power.
