Dien Bien Rubber Joint Stock Company manages more than 3,724 hectares of rubber, of which over 3,305 hectares have been put into exploitation (reaching 88.75% of the total area). The company completed the rubber latex harvesting work with tapping materials in March 2023. However, due to the impact of powdery mildew and black leaf wilt, the company was only able to tap some areas of the garden at the end of April to stabilize the leaf layer and exploit the entire area at the end of May. The estimated exploitation output by December 31, 2023 was 4,120 tons of dry latex (reaching 103% of the plan), finishing 12 days ahead of schedule; average yield 1.25 tons/ha. The total amount of product distribution for the rubber exploitation area in 2022 is over 10 billion VND for 4,106 households . The company has paid over 9 billion VND to 3,861 households. More than 800 million VND has not been paid to 265 households, because the head of the household died, the inheritance procedures have not been completed; the head of the household is serving a prison sentence; the file has incorrect area; the land is disputed; the head of the household is not in the locality, and did not come to receive the money . The accumulated amount of money to divide products for people who contributed land with gardens put into exploitation from 2017 to 2022 is over 35 billion VND. The company has fully paid social insurance, health insurance; unemployment insurance for employees with an amount of over 10.4 billion VND; settled sickness and maternity benefits for 106 employees with an amount of 510 million VND; purchased and provided personal protective equipment for employees with an amount of 493 million VND. In addition, the Company has organized meals for workers and conducted periodic health check-ups, and provided medicine for all officers, employees, and laborers in the company.
In 2023, the Company cooperated with Dien Bien Provincial Vocational College to train nearly 200 ethnic minority workers in Tuan Giao district in latex tapping techniques and recruited them to work as rubber workers. The Company supported the construction of 2 union shelters for ethnic minority workers with an amount of 110 million VND.
In 2024, Dien Bien Rubber Joint Stock Company strives to exceed its production and business plan, with some key targets: Exploitation area of 3,562.33 hectares; output of 4,300 tons; revenue of over 150 billion VND; ensuring jobs for 1,145 workers with an average salary of 6 million VND/person/month.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Rubber Corporation Trade Union awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 15 individuals for excellently completing the 2023 production plan ahead of schedule.
