Information from the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) shows that the number of corporate bonds issued in the last two months of 2024 was quite busy.
Statistical data from December 1 to 20 shows that more than 50 bond lots were successfully issued, mainly banks raising additional capital.
Of which, VIB issued a batch of bonds on December 18 with a term of 7 years, interest rate of 7.48%/year. TPBank also issued a number of batches with a term of 10 years, interest rate of more than 7%/year.
For shorter term lots such as 2-3 years, many banks such as ABBank, OCB mobilize with interest rates of about 5.5 - 5.7%...
In addition to banks, there are also familiar names in the bond market such as Vietjet Air Joint Stock Company (1,000 billion VND bond lot issued on November 29); F88 Joint Stock Company (two lots of 100 billion and 50 billion VND);
Or IPA Investment Group Corporation with a 550 billion VND bond lot issued on December 4; Vinhomes Joint Stock Company with a 4,000 billion VND bond lot issued on December 17...
But the most notable are the bonds of Newco Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (Newco). This company has just completed the issuance of 3 bonds with a total value of 6,900 billion VND in just 1 day.
Accordingly, the three bond lots include a lot of VND1,500 billion, VND3,400 billion and VND2,000 billion. The three lots have different terms (1 year, 3 years and 5 years) but all have an interest rate of 9%/year.
All three bonds were issued and completed on December 19, 2024. Thus, these bonds will mature at the end of 2025, 2027 and 2029, respectively.
The depository for the above bond lots is Techcom Securities Joint Stock Company (TCBS).
According to the national portal on business registration, Newco Investment and Development Joint Stock Company is a real estate company established in December 2020, headquartered at 2 Song Hanh, An Phu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The legal representative is Mr. Nguyen Huu Dien.
Newco is a private company. Although it has been operating for nearly 4 years, Newco is still a secretive name. There is no website or much information about this real estate company.
However, the financial report for the third quarter of 2024 of Techcom Securities Joint Stock Company (TCBS) shows that at the end of September this year, this securities company under Techcombank was investing more than 1,000 billion in Newco. The report revealed that TCBS currently owns 9.9% of Newco's capital.
