New Rural Development is the task of the entire political system and the entire people, in which the Youth Union is the vanguard and volunteer force. With the spirit of "wherever there is a need, there is youth, where there is difficulty, there is youth", in recent times, the Youth Union at all levels has implemented many specific and creative projects and tasks, making practical contributions to the New Rural Development program.

Mr. Doan Thanh Cong, Deputy Secretary in charge of the Provincial Youth Union, said: In order to join hands in building new rural areas, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has directed youth organizations at all levels to actively build rural infrastructure, undertake projects and tasks for youth to participate in building new rural areas by integrating them into the programs of the Youth Union and Association. At the same time, well implement the work of mobilizing and calling for resources from organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to effectively implement the movement "Lang Son Youth join hands with the whole country to build new rural areas".

Accordingly, all levels of the provincial Youth Union have synchronously deployed propaganda work to raise awareness of the role of the Youth Union in building the new rural areas, mobilizing the Youth Union to participate in youth projects. The forms of propaganda are diverse, such as: through branch and association meetings, hanging banners, slogans and through social networking sites... Thereby, raising awareness of the Youth Union, promoting the role of the Youth Union in implementing the goal of building the new rural areas and the tasks of local socio-economic development.

Mr. Do Van Thuan, Secretary of the Huu Lung District Youth Union, said: In recent years, the Youth Union in the district has actively implemented specific projects and tasks such as: building playgrounds for children; village road lighting projects... From 2023 to present, the Youth Union in the district has implemented 7 district-level youth projects and built 54 village youth projects, mainly village road lighting projects and building playgrounds for children, thereby contributing to the implementation of criteria in the New Rural Development Program.

Similar to Huu Lung district, in recent years, the Youth Union in districts and cities have carried out projects that make practical contributions to the new rural construction. From 2023 to present, all levels of the provincial Youth Union have built 33 projects: "loving houses", "happy houses", "red scarf houses", "200 dong houses"; built 2 bridges for people; built 2 beautiful schools for children; built 30 toilets for children; repaired and built 30 new sports fields and children's playgrounds... The above projects have directly contributed to the implementation of new rural criteria, changed the face of the countryside, and improved people's lives.

Mr. Hoang Van Vinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tran Ninh Commune, Van Quan District, said: In February 2025, Tran Ninh Commune received a certificate recognizing the commune as meeting the new rural standards in 2024. To achieve that result, it is also thanks to the youth of the Youth Union. Accordingly, in the process of building the new rural areas, the District Youth Union and the Commune Youth Union have implemented many meaningful activities. Specifically, in 2024, the Commune Youth Union implemented 4 projects including a children's playground and lighting up village roads. In addition, the Commune Youth Union also built 12 incinerators in villages; supported the construction of houses for 10 households; planted 1.5 km of flower roads to create environmental landscapes; participated in environmental sanitation... These activities have actively contributed to the national target program on building the new rural areas of the commune.

Youth projects have contributed significantly to the construction of new rural areas in the province. Up to now, the province has 106/175 communes meeting new rural standards. In the coming time, the youth union at all levels will continue to promote youth strength, carry out many projects contributing to speeding up the progress of new rural construction in the province.
