In recent times, in Nghe An province, the work of information, propaganda, dissemination, legal education and raising awareness for ethnic minority and mountainous areas (according to Content 02, Sub-project 2 of Project 10 of the National Target Program for the period 2021-2025) is gradually going into depth, contributing to changing the face of ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
In Nghe An, information, communication and propaganda work for ethnic minority and mountainous areas (EM&M) has always been of interest to departments, branches, sectors, local Party committees and authorities, especially for village elders, village chiefs, prestigious people, religious dignitaries, EM people and people to enhance their responsibility in building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developed border, as well as preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, historical relics, etc.

Currently, villages and hamlets in ethnic minority and mountainous areas have been invested in grassroots radio stations and radio stations applying technology and telecommunications. Television coverage has been expanded to 100% of villages and hamlets in the whole province; the proportion of people who can listen to and watch radio and television is increasing.
Infrastructure, information, communication and propaganda work continue to be strengthened to the villages to serve the people. Increase the production of propaganda content in ethnic minority and mountainous areas to be broadcast on ethnic language radio and television programs, etc.
Information and communication infrastructure continues to be invested in border areas, especially mobile information infrastructure. Basically, villages and hamlets now have mobile phone and internet signals. Villages and hamlets with internet coverage can receive and watch television and radio via the internet.

Policies to support production development according to the National Target Programs for the period 2021-2025 have been implemented with attention, initially promoting positive effects, contributing to improving the lives of ethnic minorities and mountainous people; many models and typical examples of effective production and business cooperation.
Up to now, 11 mountainous districts and towns have 236 products, of which 226 OCOP products have achieved 3-star rating and 10 products have achieved 4-star rating. 100% of OCOP products of communes building advanced new rural areas are promoted on at least one digital platform, e-commerce sites such as Postmart.vn, commune websites, production facilities' websites, social networking platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
Thanks to the investment in information infrastructure, systematic propaganda and communication, and synchronous and spacious infrastructure, the work of propaganda, dissemination, legal education, and mass mobilization has helped ethnic people in border areas clearly understand, support, and properly and effectively implement the Party's viewpoints and policies, the State's laws, and the tasks of all levels, sectors, localities, and forces.

Thereby, contributing significantly to the development of economy, culture, society, hunger eradication, poverty reduction, improving material and spiritual life, significantly changing the lives of all ethnic groups in the border areas. Creating a combined strength, building a "people's heart position", actively supporting, helping and participating with all levels, sectors, localities and forces to well perform the task of managing and protecting national border sovereignty, strengthening the solidarity and friendship with the people of the three provinces sharing the border of Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, Bo Li Kham Xay of the neighboring country (Laos).
