Cong Phuong and Quang Hai start

Coach Philippe Troussier adjusted many positions in the Vietnamese team's starting lineup compared to the victory over Hong Kong (China). The French coach placed Cong Phuong in the starting lineup to replace Pham Tuan Hai.

The Vietnamese team can take the field with a 3-4-3 formation when Cong Phuong plays as a left striker, Quang Hai plays as a right striker and Nguyen Van Tung continues to be trusted as a center forward.

In goal, the French coach still puts all his trust in Dang Van Lam. U23 Vietnam goalkeeper Nguyen Van Viet was not registered to play.

In the defense, Phan Tuan Tai, after his performance in the second half of the match against Hong Kong (China), was given the opportunity to start in place of Nguyen Thanh Binh. Vu Van Thanh replaced Ho Tan Tai - an unregistered player.
