On August 28, a leader of the Department of Education and Training of Buon Ma Thuot City (Dak Lak) said that the unit had just reviewed the conclusion of the case of D.XH, a student at Lac Long Quan Secondary School (Buon Ma Thuot City) who had finished 9th grade but did not have a school report card.
Accordingly, implementing the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Department of Education and Training, with the support of departments, offices and the Center for Supporting the Development of Education for Children with Disabilities in Dak Lak Province, the Department of Education and Training of Buon Ma Thuot City has considered and recognized graduation for D.XH.
Previously, as Thanh Nien reported, in the 2019-2020 school year, D.XH entered class 6D at Lac Long Quan Secondary School, but due to poor academic performance, he had to stay back at the end of the year. At the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, H. was arranged to repeat class 6D (not promoted to grade 7). However, when going to school, H. did not enter class 6D but followed his friends to class 7D.

In response to the incident, the teacher reported the incident to the school and notified H.’s parents to coordinate. H.’s family then submitted a request to the school to allow their child to move up to class 7D, citing the desire for their child to integrate into the community. In the request, the parents stated that H. had autism.
Unexpected results of the case of a male student who finished 9th grade but his academic record only reached 6th grade
In the following school years, H. continued to study in grades 8 and 9 without any records of his academic evaluation in grades 7, 8 and 9. In the subjects, the teachers also let H. take tests but did not evaluate the learning outcomes of the subjects, so this male student was not recognized as a junior high school graduate.
When they learned that D.XH had finished grade 9 but did not have a transcript, his family submitted a request to the authorities to request recognition of his junior high school graduation. Under the guidance of the authorities, the Department of Education and Training of Buon Ma Thuot City held many meetings with relevant units and considered recognizing D.XH as a junior high school graduate.
According to D.XH's parents, after H. was recognized as a junior high school graduate, the family submitted an application for the boy to study culture and vocational training at a college in Dak Lak.
