With that attraction, the Automotive Technology profession always achieves outstanding enrollment numbers at vocational training institutions in the province.

After finishing high school, without taking the university entrance exam, Tran Huu Quy, Gia Vuong commune, Gia Vien district, applied to study a trade. Therefore, after graduating from high school, I always wanted to study automotive technology at Vietnam - Soviet College of Construction Electromechanics.

Of course, the automotive technology profession is not easy to learn, it requires the learner to be meticulous, eager to learn and to adapt to the daily technological changes. But it is these challenges that create a special attraction for me.

In addition, through consulting with teachers, businesses and observing the labor market, it shows that the automotive technology profession has a lot of potential. When I started studying, I felt more secure because the seniors of the previous course all easily found jobs after graduation. Many people even have income while they are in the internship period" - Quy shared.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Phong, Vice Principal of the Vietnam - Soviet College of Construction Electromechanics: The Faculty of Dynamic Mechanics is teaching two professions: Construction machine operator and Automotive Technology. The current teaching staff is 18 people, 100% of whom meet the prescribed standards. Automotive Technology is a key profession in the ASEAN region. Since 2017, the Automotive Technology profession has been invested in by the French Government's AFD project with a budget of 1.5 million EURO.

The project has invested in equipment for teaching automotive technology: cars; models; equipment; tools... and training programs and materials. Therefore, basically, the current training equipment of the school has met the requirements of technology and the needs of businesses. To improve the quality of training, the school has cooperated with businesses such as Hyundai Thanh Cong, Mitsubishi Ninh Binh... to participate in building training programs, curriculum, production internships and accepting students to work after graduation.

With these advantages, every year, the Automotive Technology profession is the profession that recruits the most students at the Vietnam - Soviet College of Construction Electromechanics. At present, the whole faculty has over 300 students. It is considered a trendy profession, the rate of students having jobs after graduation is 90% or more. Among them, many students boldly open auto garages, solving the problem of employment for many workers, ensuring a good source of income.

For Ninh Binh College of Mechanics, the Faculty of Automotive Technology is training 2 occupations: Automotive Technology and Construction Machinery Repair. The annual enrollment scale of the Faculty is 340 students.

Identified as a key profession, a strength in attracting students, Ninh Binh Mechanical College has invested in facilities and teaching equipment for the automobile technology profession. Thanks to that, the training quality is improved, meeting the needs of the labor market.

For the school, the automotive technology industry has always been at the top in terms of enrollment and has increased steadily every year. Therefore, despite the general difficulties in enrollment of vocational schools, in recent years, the enrollment results of the Faculty have always met and exceeded the target. Specifically, in 2022, it reached 355/340 students, in 2023, up to now, it has reached 349/340 students.

Mr. Tran Cong Quyen, Director of the Admissions and Job Introduction Center, Ninh Binh College of Mechanics, said: Automotive technology is a rapidly changing industry, requiring businesses, schools and students to change to keep up with the development of technology.

If not fast, learners will fall behind, difficult to meet the requirements of the current labor market. Therefore, in the training program of automobile technology, in addition to paying attention to students; innovating the training program; improving the quality of teaching..., a very important factor is to complete the learning equipment.

Accordingly, Ninh Binh College of Mechanics has also focused resources on investing in equipment for the faculty... with a budget of tens of billions of VND to ensure modern equipment to meet current training requirements. In particular, it is clearly identified that for the automotive technology profession, to achieve high quality in training, learning practical knowledge at businesses is very necessary. With that importance, students of the school are connected and contacted to practice at large businesses.

Here, students are provided with the best conditions during their internship; they have access to modern tools, equipment, and the latest technology of the company. At the same time, they are trained in soft skills for work. Many students have been hired immediately after graduation. The association in training not only helps students approach the needs of businesses, but it is also a "channel" to help businesses recruit workers according to their needs.

The enterprises that the school has signed cooperation agreements with to train and provide internships for students are: Honda Ha Nam, KIAMazda Ninh Binh, Mitsubishi Ninh Binh... and many auto repair shops in the province. Students participating in production internships at enterprises are highly appreciated by enterprises and often accept all interns to work after graduation.
