Education Sector Trade Union: Summary of Trade Union activities for the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year.

(QBĐT) - On the afternoon of February 17th, the Standing Committee of the Quang Binh Education Sector Trade Union held an expanded Executive Committee meeting to summarize the Trade Union's work during the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year. Attending the meeting were the Standing Committee and leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor; leaders of the Department of Education and Training and its affiliated units.

During the first semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, the Education Sector Trade Union directed and implemented trade union activities and emulation movements among cadres, teachers, and workers according to plan and effectively. The work of caring for the lives and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of cadres, teachers, and workers was carried out well, especially caring for cadres, teachers, and workers in difficult circumstances and those working in particularly challenging areas. Emphasis was placed on propaganda and education, and many meaningful activities such as gratitude ceremonies, cultural and artistic events, and sports events were organized.

Representatives of the Education Sector Trade Union leadership reviewed the trade union's activities during the first semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.

The emulation movements and major campaigns in the education sector continue to be promoted, focusing on the "Two Goods" emulation movement, "Innovation and Creativity in Management, Teaching and Learning," and "Quang Binh Union Members and Workers Emulating Uncle Ho's Teachings"; the "Democracy, Discipline, Compassion, and Responsibility" campaign; "Every Teacher is a Role Model of Morality, Self-Learning, and Creativity"; the "Helping Each Other with Education" movement; and "Tutoring for Weak Students"; actively participating in the reform of educational management and the reform of emulation and reward systems... Through these efforts, cadres, teachers, and workers have been motivated to perform their assigned tasks well; and the working relationship between professional departments and trade unions at all levels has become closer and more developed. Currently, the total number of trade union members in the Quang Binh Education sector is 2,305.

The units receiving the decision are recognized as units that meet cultural standards.

For the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, the Education Trade Unions at all levels will focus on effectively fulfilling their functions of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of cadres, teachers, and employees, and caring for their material and spiritual well-being; promoting innovation in propaganda and mobilization work; continuing to effectively implement patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, and emulation and reward programs; innovating the content and methods of operation, improving the quality of trade union cadres; participating in Party and government building; and strengthening inspection and supervision of compliance with trade union regulations...

These collectives and individuals were awarded thematic commendations in 2024 by the Provincial Federation of Labor.

On this occasion, 10 units were recognized as achieving cultural standards for the periods 2023-2024 and 2020-2024; and 5 collectives and 6 individuals received thematic commendations for 2024 from the Provincial Labor Union.
