The above is one of 9 proposals compiled from opinions of workers nationwide through the Trade Union Congresses at all levels, announced by the Vietnam Trade Union at the 13th Congress held on the morning of December 2.
\nVietnam has 11 official holidays including New Year's Day (1 day), Lunar New Year (5 days), Hung Kings' Commemoration Day (1 day), Reunification Day and International Workers' Day (2 days), National Day September 2 (2 days).
\nAccording to the Vietnam Trade Union, the number of holidays in Vietnam is lower than average The average military holiday in Southeast Asia and the world is about 5-6 days.
\nTherefore, the Vietnam Trade Union recommends that the competent authority consider adding 2 days National Day holiday (ie, from September 2 to 5 every year) so that workers have the opportunity to take their children to school.

The 13th Vietnam Trade Union Congress took place from December 1-3 with 1,100 delegates attending.
\nAt the congress, delegates will discuss 3 breakthroughs: Promoting dialogue and collective bargaining, focusing on wages, bonuses, working hours, rest hours, and occupational safety and hygiene; develop union members, establish grassroots unions in non-state enterprises; Building a team of grassroots union chairmen to meet the tasks, especially in non-state enterprises.

View author's postsThe Vietnamese Trade Union proposed that the competent authority will consider and supplement the National Day holidays for another 2 days (from September 2 - 5) so that workers have the opportunity to take their children to school.
Above is one of 9 petitions gathering from the opinions of workers nationwide through the trade union Congress at all levels, announced by the Vietnamese Trade Union at the 13th Congress that took place on the morning of December 2.
Vietnam has 11 official holidays including New Year (1 day), Lunar New Year (5 days), Hung Vuong's death anniversary (1 day), day of unity and international labor (2 days), National Day 2/9 (2 days).
According to Vietnam Trade Union, the number of Vietnam's holidays is lower than the general average of Southeast Asia and the world about 5-6 days.
Therefore, the Vietnamese Trade Union proposed that the competent authority will consider and supplement 2 National Day holidays (that is, on September 2 - 5 every year) so that workers have the opportunity to take their children to school.
The 13th Vietnam Trade Union Congress takes place from December 1-3 with 1,100 participants.
At the congress, the delegates will discuss 3 breakthroughs: promote dialogue, collective negotiation, focus on salary, bonus, working time, rest time, labor safety and hygiene;
