2023 was the year of the congresses of trade unions at all levels for the 2023-2028 term. This was a major political event, a grand celebration for cadres, union members, workers, and trade unions at all levels throughout the province. With the outstanding achievement of all 15 targets set by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Ha Tinh Trade Union made a significant mark and achieved many remarkable and noteworthy results in 2023.
During the year, the trade union contributed to and organized consultations on 36 draft policy and legal documents; closely coordinated with relevant agencies to review and propose amendments and additions to local policies; and improved the quality of negotiation programs, signing, and effective implementation of collective labor agreements.
Trade unions at all levels throughout the province donated and provided nearly 21,500 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances, worth over 10.8 billion VND; allocated funds from the Trade Union Social Fund to support 78 union members and workers in building "union-sponsored homes" with a total amount of 2.34 billion VND; and provided nearly 833 million VND to repair and renovate the boarding house at Ky Son Secondary School (Ky Anh district).
Simultaneously, negotiations resulted in the signing of 26 cooperation agreements, increasing benefits for 32,056 union members with a total benefit amount exceeding 10.7 billion VND. The "Tet Reunion - Spring Connection" and "Workers' Month" programs were organized on a large scale and in a systematic manner with many activities such as gift giving, providing housing assistance, conducting regular health check-ups, showing appreciation to workers, and workplace dialogues.
Units signed an emulation movement to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1928 - July 28, 2023).
The patriotic emulation movement was widely implemented, linked to activities celebrating the trade union congresses at all levels, creating a vibrant atmosphere of competition among union members and workers. Throughout the province, 1,675 projects and products from various units celebrated the congresses, generating profits exceeding 366 billion VND. Ha Tinh ranked 14th nationwide with 14,284 initiatives participating in the "One Million Initiatives" program (achieving a completion rate of 290%).
Movements such as "Building new rural areas and civilized urban areas," "Achieving cultural standards in agencies, units, and enterprises," and "Green, clean, and beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene"... have been widely and effectively implemented by trade unions at all levels.
Implementing the theme "Focus on developing union membership and establishing grassroots trade unions," the entire province has established 18 new grassroots trade unions, recruited 4,219 new union members; and 936 union members have been admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam ...
In 2024, the Ha Tinh Provincial Trade Union implemented the theme "Focus on concretizing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union; launching emulation movements to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union".
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and contributing ideas to improve the effectiveness of trade union activities and the workers' movement, such as: focusing on solutions for developing union membership and establishing grassroots trade unions; better fulfilling the task of representing and protecting the rights and interests of workers; improving the quality of activities of grassroots trade unions in enterprises, etc.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department suggested that, in the coming period, trade unions should innovate the content and methods of their activities, focusing strongly on the grassroots level, keeping pace with labor relations in the new era; improve the effectiveness of grassroots trade unions in enterprises; promote the effectiveness of emulation movements, and improve the professional skills, expertise, and awareness of workers to meet market demands.

On this occasion, one individual was honored with a commendation from the Prime Minister; one individual received the title of "Emulation Fighter" from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; and the Provincial Confederation of Labor awarded outstanding emulation flags to 15 collectives with many achievements in implementing trade union activities and the workers' movement in 2023.
