Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade launches series of events for Workers' Month 2025

Not just a medical examination but the beginning of gratitude

On the morning of April 19, at Lam Thao Super Phosphate and Chemical Joint Stock Company, the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade officially launched a series of activities for Workers' Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene (OSH) in 2025 by taking blood samples for testing and conducting health check-ups for workers and laborers.

This is a symbolic opening event, demonstrating the close attention and concrete actions of the trade union in taking care of the health and welfare of workers right from the first days of the May series of activities.

On the morning of April 19, at Lam Thao Super Phosphate and Chemical Joint Stock Company, the Vietnam Trade Union organized blood testing and health check-ups for workers and laborers.

From early morning, hundreds of workers, laborers, and union members of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union were present at Lam Thao Super Phosphate and Chemical Joint Stock Company to undergo clinical tests and general examinations organized by the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union in coordination with medical units.

At the health check-up, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Nga emotionally shared: “ As an employee of Lam Thao Super Phosphate and Chemical Joint Stock Company, I feel very happy and excited because the company's leaders always pay close attention to the material and spiritual life of the workers. According to the Organizing Committee, the health check-up program is organized on a large scale with steps from: blood test, general examination, treatment consultation and free medicine distribution. In particular, priority is given to female workers, people in difficult circumstances and those directly involved in production.

Along with that are communication activities to raise awareness of occupational safety and health, detect risks of occupational accidents and diseases, and aim to build a safe, civilized, and modern working environment.

Spread the message: Not only businesses but also society must care about workers

A representative of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade said that starting with the medical activities on April 19, the 2025 Workers' Month program will be followed by a series of rich, practical and humane events. Specifically, centralized health check-ups will take place over three days from April 26 to 28, organizing welfare booths, performing arts activities - showing gratitude to workers, giving union shelters and honoring exemplary workers in the industry...

The highlight is the industry-level launching ceremony held on the morning of April 28 in Lam Thao, with the participation and speeches of leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, representatives of industry unions and workers. Here, the launching ceremony will not only be a ceremony, but also a commitment to strong action, spreading the spirit of competition throughout the industry to enter the Workers' Month full of expectations.
