Virtual reality theater performance in Ho Chi Minh City.

On November 23rd and 24th, at The Global City in Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City), the XR (virtual reality) play "The Old Man and the Sea" will be performed for the audience.

"The Old Man and the Sea" is a work by American writer E. Hemingway (1899-1961), published in 1952, and is one of the most famous novels. Immediately after its publication, the novel sold millions of copies, creating an unprecedented publishing feat in history. Hemingway received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954 for this work. The novel was adapted into a film in 1958 and has been performed numerous times on stage and in musicals around the world .

The XR play "The Old Man and the Sea" combines artist performance with modern technology to create a virtual reality experience. This innovative approach was first performed in South Korea and attracted a large audience with 130 performances in October 2023.

In the Vietnamese version, directed by Meritorious Artist Nguyen Cong Ninh, the play will feature two actors: Huynh Kien An and Anh Khoa.
