According to VNA, the visit of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn aims to develop and expand the project “Improving the quality of life for children and adolescents in the Asia- Pacific region” in Vietnam; contributing to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries; in which, Nam Cuong Primary School is a unit surveyed and selected to participate in the project.
Participating in the project, Nam Cuong Primary School students practiced a number of activities such as: growing hydroponic vegetables, growing vegetables in the school garden to improve boarding meals; making biofertilizers to fertilize the experiential gardens on campus such as vegetable gardens, fruit trees, flower gardens, green trees, etc.
In addition, children receive nutritional health care, regular health check-ups, height and weight monitoring, and guidance on preventing seasonal diseases.
The project “Improving the quality of life of children and adolescents in the Asia- Pacific region” sponsored by Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in a number of schools in Vietnam since 2006 has contributed to improving the overall quality of students in disadvantaged areas.
Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and the delegation inspected the medical room, library, and hand washing area for students; attended students' English learning activities; visited and experienced the local agricultural products display area, clean water operation system, bio-fertilizer and vegetable growing area; visited the community corner and practiced art.
