Announcement of the decision to merge Hung Yen Radio and Television Station and Newspaper

On April 4, the Standing Committee of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on merging the Radio and Television Station into Hung Yen Newspaper; and to announce the title of Editor-in-Chief of Hung Yen Newspaper.

At the conference, Mr. Pham Van Khue, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee, announced Decision No. 1507-QD/TU dated March 31 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on merging Hung Yen Radio and Television Station into Hung Yen Newspaper to form Hung Yen Newspaper.

The decision takes effect from April 1, 2025.

After the merger, Hung Yen Newspaper (new) consists of 8 affiliated departments (5 departments less than the total number of departments of the 2 agencies before the merger) including Organization-Administration Department; Finance-Advertising Department; Politics -Economics-Society Department; Secretary-Editor Department; Electronic Newspaper Department; Special Topics-Arts Department; Engineering-Technology Department and Radio Department.

According to Decision No. 1509-QD/TU dated March 31, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Le Cong Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Hung Yen Newspaper, to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; term of office is 5 years, starting from April 1, 2025.

In Decision No. 1508-QD/TU dated March 31, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee decided to appoint Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoai, Director of Hung Yen Radio and Television Station, to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of Hung Yen Newspaper; term of office is 5 years, starting from April 1, 2025.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee also decided to appoint Mr. Dinh Duc Khoa; Mr. Pham Van Xuong; Mr. Bui Hai Dang, and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luyen as Deputy Editors-in-Chief of Hung Yen Newspaper. The term of office is 5 years, starting from April 1, 2025.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that in recent times, implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee and the directions of the Central Committee and the Politburo , the implementation of the arrangement and streamlining of the political system in the province has been carried out seriously and drastically, bringing about initial results.

The merger of Hung Yen Radio and Television Station into Hung Yen Newspaper aims to effectively implement the Party's policy; contribute to maximizing resources, improving the quality and efficiency of modern multimedia communication agencies, meeting the requirements of information and propaganda work linking all types of journalism (print, radio, television, and electronic newspapers).

To effectively perform the assigned functions and tasks, the Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee directed: The Editorial Board of Hung Yen Newspaper to urgently complete the organization according to regulations; focus on building and promptly promulgating regulations on functions, tasks, and organizational structure of affiliated departments; arrange and assign leaders of departments after the merger; assign tasks to ensure the right people, the right jobs, and smooth operations without work congestion.

The unit continues to review the programs and work plans for 2025 of the two agencies before the merger, ensuring full integration, without missing any tasks; doing a good job of political and ideological work for cadres, reporters, editors, workers... creating solidarity, unity, peace of mind at work, striving to complete assigned tasks well.

Hung Yen Newspaper shall hand over records, documents, finances, assets and related work contents according to regulations; develop plans to arrange and handle facilities and technical equipment to ensure effective exploitation and use, and absolutely prevent waste in the use of public assets.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Huu Nghia also requested Hung Yen Newspaper to build solidarity and unity, improve the effectiveness of management and operation; continue to better carry out propaganda work to serve the province's political tasks./.
