Announcement of the decision to merge Ha Nam Newspaper and Provincial Radio and Television Station

On the afternoon of March 31, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision to merge Ha Nam Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station and personnel work. Comrade Truong Quoc Huy, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation attended and directed the conference. Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; representatives of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Party Building Committee, the Department of Home Affairs; leaders of Ha Nam Newspaper, the Provincial Radio and Television Station.

At the conference, comrade Dang Dinh Thoang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, announced the Decision of the Provincial Party Committee on merging Ha Nam Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station into Ha Nam Newspaper, a public service unit directly under the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee. After the merger, the organization of Ha Nam Newspaper has 4 leaders, including the Editor-in-Chief and 3 Deputy Editors-in-Chief; 9 affiliated units; 6 fewer department-level units and equivalent units and 6 fewer staff compared to before the merger. Ha Nam Newspaper presides over and coordinates with relevant agencies to reorganize the organization, assign and arrange cadres, civil servants, employees, hand over records, documents, seals, finances, assets and other issues according to regulations (to be completed before April 30, 2025); Advise on the development of regulations on functions, tasks, powers, and working relationships of Ha Nam Newspaper according to regulations and instructions of the Central Committee and submit them to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee for consideration and decision.

The conference also announced the decisions of the Provincial Party Committee on personnel work: the decision to retire early for comrade Nguyen Duy Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Ha Nam Newspaper; comrade Nguyen Van Vinh, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ha Nam Newspaper. Announced the decision of the Provincial Party Committee to appoint comrade Le Hong Ky, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station to the position of Editor-in-Chief of Ha Nam Newspaper. Appointed comrades: Tran Ngoc Huong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ha Nam Newspaper; Nguyen Quoc Khang, Deputy Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station; Nguyen Hong Tuan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station to the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ha Nam Newspaper.

Presenting decisions and congratulatory flowers at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Truong Quoc Huy emphasized: In recent times, Ha Nam Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station have continuously innovated and promoted propaganda work, comprehensively reflecting the political , economic, cultural and social life of the province, increasingly meeting the information needs of the people. The merger of the two units is an important milestone, marking a new development stage of the mouthpiece of the Provincial Party Committee, an information bridge between the Party Committee, the government and the people in the province. At the same time, it aims to streamline the apparatus, maximize resources, create conditions for building a more modern and professional multimedia communication agency, meeting the requirements of improving the quality and effectiveness of information and propaganda work; strengthening the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee in press work; helping to innovate and optimize the organization and management model of modern press agencies in the context of strong development of communication technology and the digital age.

Acknowledging the contributions of the leaders of Ha Nam Newspaper who retired early during their working time, the Provincial Party Secretary praised the positive, proactive, responsible and exemplary spirit of the cadres who voluntarily and willingly sacrificed personal interests for the common good, creating favorable conditions for the implementation of the arrangement of the apparatus and cadres. Hopefully, in the coming time, although they have retired, they will continue to pay attention, contribute their intelligence and strength, actively participate in the movements of the locality where they reside; at the same time, continue to contribute their valuable experience, participate in the information and propaganda activities of Ha Nam Newspaper, contributing to the good implementation of the work of Party building, building the political system, and developing the socio -economy of the province.

In the coming time, to effectively perform the assigned functions and tasks, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Ha Nam Newspaper, especially the Editorial Board, to focus on leading, directing, and performing well a number of contents: Implement the handover of records, documents, finances, assets, and related work contents according to regulations, quickly stabilize the organization and arrange the internal apparatus, arrange reasonable personnel to organize activities, promote and inherit the achieved results, perform well the tasks of the new agency, ensure uninterrupted information and propaganda activities. Urgently develop and submit to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Board for promulgation of Regulations on the functions, tasks, and organizational apparatus of the Ha Nam Newspaper, develop an effective and scientific operation plan, improve the quality of content, innovate the form of expression, meet the requirements of political tasks as well as the needs of the people.

Do a good job in political and ideological work, create solidarity, unity, an exciting atmosphere, peace of mind at work, and strive to complete assigned tasks well. Coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board and relevant agencies to implement policies and regimes for cadres and civil servants after arranging the organizational apparatus in a timely and correct manner. Strengthen training and fostering of cadres, reporters, editors, and technicians in a multi-functional direction, capable of working on many different platforms. Build a strong Ha Nam Newspaper agency, a team of cadres, civil servants, and employees with a firm stance and viewpoint, good at expertise, professionalism, and professional ethics. Clearly identify the opportunities and challenges facing the digital transformation requirements for press agencies to organize and implement solutions well to connect different types of journalism (print, radio, television, and electronic newspapers), operate a converged, multimedia newsroom model suitable to practical conditions and the development of information technology. Strongly apply digital technology, innovate content production and distribution methods, exploit the advantages of social networks, improve communication efficiency and expand public reach.

At the same time, uphold the principles and purposes of the press agency, provide timely and accurate information, serve the political tasks of the province well, and resolutely fight against false and negative information on cyberspace. The immediate task is to do a good job of propaganda, orienting ideology and public opinion, ensuring high consensus and unity among cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and people of all walks of life on implementing the policy on reorganizing the apparatus of the political system; propagating party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
