Announcing the decision to rename the Military Command of Thua Thien Hue province

NDO - On December 30, the Military Command of Thua Thien Hue province held a ceremony to announce the Ministry of National Defense's Decision on changing the unit's name, merging, dissolving and establishing a new Military Command of Phu Xuan district and Thuan Hoa district. Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh, Commander of Military Region 4 attended and directed the ceremony.

Also attending the announcement ceremony were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Duc Tien; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong and leaders of departments, branches and sectors in the province; Party Committee, Military Command of Thua Thien Hue province and affiliated units.

This activity aims to implement Resolution No. 175 of the National Assembly on the establishment of Hue city under the Central Government and Resolution No. 1314 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Hue city in the 2023-2025 period.

According to the Decisions of the Ministry of National Defense, from January 1, 2025, the name of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Military Command will be changed to the Hue City Military Command under Military Region 4; the name of the Phong Dien District Military Command will be changed to the Phong Dien Town Military Command; the Nam Dong District Military Command will be merged into the Phu Loc District Military Command; the Hue City Military Command will be dissolved and the Decision will be made to establish the Thuan Hoa District Military Command and the Phu Xuan District Military Command under the Hue City Military Command.

The Ministry of National Defense also issued Decisions on awarding the Quyet Thang Military Flag to the Thuan Hoa District Military Command and Phu Xuan District Military Command. At the ceremony, authorized by the Ministry of National Defense, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh - Commander of Military Region 4 awarded the Quyet Thang Military Flag to the Thuan Hoa District Military Command and Phu Xuan District Military Command.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh, Commander of Military Region 4, congratulated the armed forces of Thua Thien Hue province, and affirmed that the renaming, merging, dissolving, and establishing new units is a major policy of the Party, State, and Ministry of National Defense and an important political event, marking the remarkable development of Thua Thien Hue province, and is a very favorable opportunity for the armed forces of Thua Thien Hue province to promote the emulation movement to win, and excellently complete the assigned tasks.

In the coming time, with the heavy responsibility of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation, the Commander of Military Region 4 requested the Party Committee, the Military Command of Hue City and its affiliated units to deeply understand their functions and tasks; quickly stabilize the organization and staffing, assign specific tasks, perfect the Party organization, command organization, and mass organization; continue to do a good job of advising local Party committees and authorities on deploying military and defense tasks; strictly maintain the prescribed regime, overcome all difficulties, build a comprehensively strong unit that is a "typical model", successfully complete all assigned tasks from the first day, the first week, the first month, contributing to building Hue city increasingly prosperous.
