On April 10, 2024, the Minister of Education and Training signed Decision No. 1099/QD-BGDDT recognizing Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Thuan, Vice Rector of the University of Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, to hold the position of Director of the Academy of Educational Management for the 2020-2025 term.

Sending congratulations to Associate Professor Dr. Pham Van Thuan and recognizing the Academy's contributions to the education sector over its nearly 50-year history, Minister Nguyen Kim Son shared: The education sector is in the process of innovation and development, including university education, general education, preschool education and continuing education. In this process, teachers are an important and decisive force.

Referring to the Ministry of Education and Training's top priority task of state management of education, the Minister said that the spirit of management is based on people, through people and implemented by people. To implement educational innovation and training through the human factor, training, fostering and coaching educational management staff is a particularly important step.

Affirming the viewpoint of the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training always standing side by side with the leaders of the Academy, in the coming time, the Minister hopes that the collective of the Academy of Educational Management, from the Party Committee, the School Council, the Board of Directors, the School Union, mass organizations... will continue to unite and be unified. The path to unity and solidarity is nothing better than openness, transparency, promoting collective intelligence, sincerity, realism, coordination, and being in tune with the job.

"Hopefully, in the coming time, the position of the Academy will be increasingly affirmed and spread. The Academy of Educational Management must truly be a pioneer in the field of educational management, from the quality of training and contributions in training and coaching the team of educational management staff," the Minister said.

Expressing his joy and honor to be entrusted by the Minister of Education and Training with the task of Director of the Academy of Educational Management for the 2020-2025 term, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Thuan said: In recent years, the Academy of Educational Management has achieved remarkable achievements in training, fostering, research, and policy consulting. However, internal difficulties as well as challenges from the demands of educational innovation are still heavy ahead. However, the Academy is also facing great opportunities.

Receiving and clearly understanding the task assigned by Minister Nguyen Kim Son, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Thuan committed to completing the assigned task as best as possible; contributing with the Academy to continue realizing the Academy's mission, maintaining stability and building a school community that is in consensus, sharing, and dedicating themselves to the common work, developing the Academy in the spirit of Vietnamese educational innovation.

In the coming time, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Van Thuan said that he and the team will focus on promoting the development of the Academy into a high-quality university, aiming at the regional level; a center for training leaders, managers, and teachers for the education sector.
