Announcing the master plan of Di An city and promoting investment attraction

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that the achievements of Di An after more than a quarter of a century of re-establishment, construction and development are bright spots, very valuable and proud; thereby contributing significantly to the overall success of Binh Duong province and the country's innovation. The general urban planning of Di An has clearly identified new driving forces for socio-economic development with 5 development areas based on the railway and road infrastructure framework that will be connected scientifically, synchronously and modernly.

According to Mr. Bui Minh Thanh, the Di An urban master plan and other plans, including the Binh Duong provincial master plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, will be reviewed, adjusted, revised, supplemented, and integrated to suit the new administrative unit and new development space. Previous plans will be inherited, promoted, and developed. Therefore, Di An City continues to identify the implementation of the plan as an important task and strives to carry it out with the highest sense of responsibility to achieve the best results.

Leaders of Di An City received the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the overall adjustment project of the 1/10,000 scale Master Plan of Di An City to 2045.

Accordingly, Di An City is planned to be a Service - Education - Industry urban area, a university urban center, a regional traffic hub; in which, industry develops in the direction of high technology. It is forecasted that the population size by 2030 will be about 650,000 - 750,000 people; by 2045, about 800,000 - 900,000 people. Regarding the orientation of urban space organization, the city is divided into 3 development zones and 5 areas.

The entire city has 32 areas expected to call for investment in urban development by 2045, of which about 10 points will develop according to the TOD model, an urban development model oriented towards public transport development with an urban railway connecting from Metro Station No. 1, Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien, Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Duong New City.
