At the ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Home Affairs announced Resolution No. 1198. Accordingly, Phan Rang-Thap Cham City has 5 wards subject to rearrangement: Merging the entire natural area of 0.45 km2, population of 5,200 people of My Huong Ward and the entire natural area of 2.64 km2, population of 11,356 people of Tan Tai Ward into Kinh Dinh Ward. After merging, Kinh Dinh Ward has a natural area of 3.50 km2, population of 24,656 people. Merging the entire natural area of 1.1 km2, population of 10,660 people of Thanh Son Ward into Phu Ha Ward. After merging, Phu Ha Ward has a natural area of 2.4 km2, population of 23,957 people. After rearranging the commune-level administrative units, Phan Rang-Thap Cham City will have 5 wards. Phan Rang - Thap Cham has 13 commune-level administrative units, including 12 wards and 1 commune; Ninh Thuan province has 7 district-level administrative units, including 6 districts and 1 city, with a total of 62 commune-level administrative units, including 47 communes, 12 wards and 3 towns.

Recognizing the importance of the arrangement of administrative units, in recent times, the Party Committees and authorities of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City have thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the direction of the Central Government and the province; proactively developed a plan to organize and implement the arrangement of commune-level administrative units for the period of 2023-2025 in a strict, methodical, public, democratic, and in accordance with regulations, meeting the set goals, requirements, and progress. After the announcement ceremony, the city continued to focus on implementing solutions to ensure that new administrative units operate continuously, stably, and effectively, meeting the requirements of streamlining the organization, apparatus, administrative reform, improving the effectiveness of management and operation, contributing to concentrating resources, promoting potentials and advantages, creating motivation and conditions for socio-economic development of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City in particular and the province in general.

Proposing that Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Fronts, and mass organizations of the city, especially new wards, continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, strive to perform well the tasks and solutions to ensure the organization and apparatus of new administrative units operate effectively and efficiently. In particular, note a number of important tasks: Continue to promote information and propaganda to raise awareness, sense of responsibility, and consensus of cadres, party members, and people to well implement Resolution No. 1198. Arrange and perfect the organization and apparatus of agencies and organizations to ensure unity, meeting the requirements of preparing for Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term and the election of People's Council delegates at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
