Announcement of the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct for Real Estate Brokers.

DNVN - On November 22nd, the Vietnam Association of Real Estate Brokers (VARS) announced the revised and supplemented Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct for Real Estate Brokers in Vietnam.

This is a particularly significant event, marking a new step forward in perfecting professional standards, enhancing the prestige and social responsibility of organizations and individuals operating in the real estate brokerage profession in Vietnam.

At the conference announcing the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct for Real Estate Brokers in Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh - Permanent Vice Chairman of VARS - emphasized that the real estate brokerage profession plays a crucial role in connecting, promoting transactions, and developing a sustainable real estate market. However, in the context of an increasingly developed and fiercely competitive market, it is not enough to rely solely on professional knowledge and skills; strict adherence to professional ethical standards is also necessary.

The Standing Vice President of VARS stated that in 2018, VARS first published its Code of Professional Ethics for Real Estate Brokers. Given the continuous development of the market and the law, it was deemed necessary to amend and supplement the Code to better meet the practical needs and demands of the real estate market.

At the event, along with the announcement of the updated Code of Professional Ethics for Real Estate Brokers, VARS also announced the Code of Ethics and Conduct for Real Estate Exchanges. This affirms the central role of real estate exchanges and brokerage firms in leading, standardizing brokerage activities, and protecting the rights of all market participants.

To ensure comprehensiveness, consistency, and transparency, the process of developing the code of conduct was systematically implemented by VARS with the participation of experts and researchers. Simultaneously, feedback was widely solicited from the investor community, customers, and from organizations and individuals providing real estate brokerage services.

Specifically, this code of conduct is developed with the goal of establishing principles and standards of ethics, culture, and professional conduct for individuals and organizations operating in the real estate service business; reflecting the aspiration to elevate the status of real estate brokers and their profession in Vietnam.

VARS expects that the code of conduct will encourage the real estate brokerage community to work together to build a healthy and sustainable business environment that meets the requirements and expectations of customers. This will contribute to the development of the Vietnamese real estate market, moving towards a transparent, fair, professional, and sustainable market.
