On June 30, the Organizing Committee of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival DIFF 2024 held a meeting with the Jury to select two teams to compete in the final round.
The Finnish team and the Chinese team became the two best teams to compete in the final round of DIFF 2024. In the final night, the Chinese team will perform first and the Finnish team will perform second.
DIFF 2024 is a competition between 8 teams from the US, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, China and Vietnam. Through 4 dramatic nights of competition, each team demonstrated their own techniques and identity, creating performances that were not too different in quality.
Based on the scores of the teams assessed by the Jury through the qualifying rounds and the evaluation opinions of the consulting units, the Jury officially announced the Finnish team and the Chinese team as the two best teams competing in the final round of DIFF 2024.
This is considered the most "unbelievable" result in the DIFF because Finland and China are two "arch-rivals" who met each other in the final qualifying round. The confrontation on the night of June 29 between these two fireworks superpowers was likened to "the early finale", and now it has become a reality.
This result is based on a strict scoring criteria including: Originality, design ideas and adaptation to the performance theme; diversity, richness of effects and intensity of colors; synchronization between music and performance; ending and overall impression of the performance; emotions and evaluation of the Jury.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, musician Nguyen Duc Trinh - a member of the jury said: "We feel sorry for the other very strong and creative teams like Italy or France, with very low quality differences, but we cannot bring all the teams to the finals."
Also at the announcement ceremony, to ensure objectivity for the final night, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong - Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee - chief judge, conducted a draw to determine the order of performance. Accordingly, the Chinese team will perform first and the Finnish team will perform second.
Immediately after this announcement ceremony, Sun Group will continue to invite the two winning teams back to Vietnam, continue to provide fireworks, technical and logistical support to have the most memorable competition night in the DIFF 2024 season.

The jury also announced the award system of DIFF 2024, including: the DIFF 2024 Champion team will receive a prize worth 20,000 USD along with a trophy and certificate; the Runner-up team will receive a prize worth 10,000 USD along with a trophy and certificate.
This year, the award for the Most Favorite Team (voted by the audience) will have a prize worth 5,000 USD and a certificate; In particular, with the unique and creative performances from the competing teams, the DIFF 2024 Organizing Committee decided to add the Creativity Award with a prize worth 5,000 USD and a certificate. The awards will be announced and presented immediately after the end of the performance on the final night.
The final night of DIFF 2024 with the theme "Made of Young Generation - Future Beat" will take place on the evening of July 13, 2024, with the competition of the two best teams, promising to bring a light show beyond expectations, closing the 12th DIFF season that has "burned" Da Nang for more than a summer month.

According to Ms. Nadia Shakira Wong, Director of Global 2000 Fireworks Consulting Company, the producer of the DIFF 2024 event: "We have to start preparing right now, cleaning the shooting range, preparing the fireworks warehouse, notifying the teams, preparing their plane tickets to come here, arranging hotels, exchanging information about the final night, emailing the fireworks list for the teams to prepare.... This will be a huge challenge for the teams, but they are extremely excited".
Planned and prepared by Da Nang city for nearly a year, with the support and investment of hundreds of billions of VND from Sun Group, DIFF 2024 has affirmed itself as a large-scale international fireworks festival, and a playground that many fireworks teams around the world wish to try./.
