Ninh Binh City Police officially apply fines from September 1

With the goal of reducing traffic accidents in the area, Ninh Binh City Police will officially "impose fines" on violations of the Road Traffic Law from September 1, 2023.

Accordingly, the City Police have established a Remote Traffic Monitoring Center; installed 26 smart cameras at intersections, key routes and installed the Atoma software system, one of the most modern software in detecting and handling traffic violations on roads.

All violations will be recorded by the camera and transmitted to the center; the software system will integrate and automatically identify and accurately detect each violation of traffic participants such as: illegal parking, driving in the wrong lane, crossing the line, overtaking on the right, running a red light at an intersection, not wearing a helmet, speeding, etc.

Based on the database of violations in the established categories, the Traffic Police team will monitor, verify image information and carry out penalty procedures according to regulations.

"Cold fines" for violations of the Road Traffic Law are considered one of the important solutions to contribute to raising people's awareness of voluntarily complying with traffic laws; and to restrain and reduce traffic accidents in the area.

In particular, the application of "cold fines" at this time is of great significance, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and order during the National Day holiday on September 2, the opening of the new school year 2023 - 2024 and effectively implementing the Peak Month of Traffic Safety.
