Ward police help people get back more than 400 million VND transferred by mistake - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

It is known that on April 12, Mr. Nguyen Van Huong mistakenly transferred 410 million VND to the account of Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa (residing in Dien Minh ward, Dien Ban town). Discovering the mistaken transfer, on the morning of April 15, Mr. Huong called the Dien Minh ward police for assistance.

Dien Minh Ward Police worked with the account owner to whom the money was transferred by mistake.

Upon receiving the information, Dien Minh Ward Police promptly verified and invited Mr. Hoa to work. Through work, Mr. Hoa said that the bank account number that received the above amount of money was his. However, for the past 3 years, Mr. Hoa has not used or made transactions on this account. The information to create the account was his ID card and old phone number (not the owner's), he himself did not know that his account received the above amount of money.

Dien Minh Ward Police assigned officers to coordinate with the Bank to verify the information and confirm that Mr. Hoa's statement was true. Based on that, the unit coordinated with the bank to instruct Mr. Hoa to transfer the entire amount of 410 million VND back to Mr. Huong at 10:45 a.m. on April 15.

Receiving the large amount of money back, Mr. Huong expressed his joy and sent his thanks via the Facebook page of Dien Minh Ward Police. According to Mr. Huong, due to the long distance, he did not know who to contact Mr. Hoa, so he called the officer on duty of Dien Minh Ward Police directly for support. "They were very enthusiastic and responsible, helping me get all the money back from Mr. Hoa. Through the conversation, I learned that Mr. Hoa did not know about receiving the money transferred by mistake from me and the police officer worked with the bank to restore Mr. Hoa's account and Mr. Hoa transferred the money back to me" - Mr. Huong shared.

Mr. Huong expressed his gratitude on the Facebook page "Dien Minh Ward Police".

Mr. Huong confided: “The above amount of money is a huge asset for my family. I did not think I would receive the money back in such a short time. I respectfully wish the Dien Minh Ward Police Department to always complete their tasks well, wish the police officers good health, peace, and complete all assigned tasks well...".
