On the morning of November 6th, the Lai Chau Provincial Police confirmed that the Tam Duong District Police are investigating the incident, primarily focusing on the origin of the biological rat poison found in the school.
Earlier, at 10:00 AM on November 5th, Lai Chau Provincial General Hospital received a total of 20 children suspected of being poisoned by rat poison, including 2 children with symptoms of abdominal pain, nausea, and crying.
The Lai Chau Department of Health, in coordination with the Poison Control Center of Bach Mai Hospital and medical staff, implemented the emergency treatment procedure for rat poison poisoning according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health and the guidance of experts.

According to Vu Xuan Thinh, Vice Chairman of the Tam Duong District People's Committee: According to teacher Dinh Thi Huong (a teacher at Giang Ma Kindergarten), the 25-36 month old kindergarten class has 20 students and two teachers, Ms. Lo Thi Thien and Ms. Dinh Thi Huong. On the morning of November 5th, when the incident occurred, one teacher was in the restroom, while the other was caring for the children. Around 8:30 AM, upon returning to the classroom, the teachers discovered several children holding pink pills suspected to be biological rat poison.
To date, all pediatric patients have had blood samples taken for testing and undergone necessary paraclinical examinations, received intravenous fluids, and been treated according to protocols; digestive fluid samples have also been sent for toxicology testing. Currently, their health is stable and they continue to be monitored at the Pediatric Department of Lai Chau Provincial General Hospital.
