On June 26, Tra Tan Commune Police (Bac Tra My District, Quang Nam) said they had just assisted a foreign tourist in finding a relative after getting lost while driving a motorbike to visit Hoi An.

At around 6:30 this morning, Tra Tan Commune Police discovered a foreigner with strange behavior in the area so they proactively approached him.

Through verification, it was found that this person's name is Kyucheol (48 years old, Korean nationality) who came to Vietnam for tourism. While sightseeing by motorbike, this tourist got lost. The tourist did not bring any identification documents, could not remember his accommodation address, had no way to contact his family and could not speak Vietnamese.

Tra Tan Commune Police encouraged him, provided him with food and took him to the headquarters to rest and help find his relatives.

After verification, Tra Tan Commune Police identified the tourist's residence and relatives, so they contacted the family to pick him up.

According to Kyucheol's relatives, on June 22, he, his mother and sister went sightseeing in Da Nang.

On June 24, the family went sightseeing in Hoi An. At around 4 p.m. that same day, Kyucheol rented a motorbike at the hotel to visit Hoi An and got lost.

At the Tra Tan Commune Police Headquarters, the male tourist's relatives sent their thanks and expressed their deep emotion and gratitude for the dedication and responsibility of the Commune Police force.
