Ben Tre Police awarded funding to support the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses.

Presenting symbolic plaques to representatives of the Steering Committees of communes with households receiving financial support.

Pursuant to Plan No. 4513/KH-UBND, dated July 16, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Ben Tre province in 2025", on July 24, 2024, the Director of the Provincial Police Department issued Plan No. 227/KH-CAT to specify the implementation and launch it deeply and widely in the entire police force at all levels in the province, in order to support people to overcome difficulties, rise up in life, and contribute to the socio -economic development of the locality.

As a result, officers and soldiers were mobilized to contribute 3 days of salary each with a total amount of 4.6 billion VND to respond to programs launched by the Ministry of Public Security and localities. In addition, they actively mobilized sponsors to support the construction of 69 houses with a total amount of more than 4 billion VND.

At the program, the Provincial Police awarded funding to build 58 houses, worth nearly 3.5 billion VND, to representatives of the Steering Committees of communes with households receiving funding support.

Speaking at the program, Colonel Truong Son Lam - Director of the Provincial Police emphasized: "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is not simply about building new houses, but also about building trust, giving hope for a bright future to families in difficult circumstances, so that they can gradually rise up to stabilize their lives, contributing to strengthening security and order, social security, developing the homeland and the country to become increasingly prosperous...".

On this occasion, the program's Organizing Committee presented flowers and thank-you letters to sponsors who joined hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province by 2025.
