Unique elephant cafe attracts young people to check-in. In recent days, young people in Hung Nguyen district (Nghe An) have flocked to a cafe in Hung Tay commune (Hung Nguyen district) to admire and take check-in photos with a unique elephant made from thousands of bamboo trees. According to Mr. Le Van Nam (owner of the cafe), the elephant image was designed by him to create a highlight for the cafe with the desire for people to preserve nature and wildlife. In addition, he also wants to bring people a space to experience close to nature after long days of hard work. The elephant was meticulously designed by Mr. Nam from 2,000 bamboo trees of different sizes. “Bamboo and reed materials have been used quite a lot in recent architectural and artistic works. However, no one has ever combined art and bamboo to create a giant elephant. That is why I came up with the idea to create this elephant. In addition to the elephant, I also painted a large picture of Hai Ba Trung to remind young people of ancient history,” said Mr. Nam.
Every detail of the elephant is meticulously designed by Mr. Nam, from the wide flapping ears to the long, softly curved trunk. Nam designed the large pair of elephant tusks with a steel frame, the outside is covered with cement, and painted white to look like real elephant tusks. Underneath the elephant's trunk are wooden tables for people to drink coffee.
Inside the elephant's belly, the owner also placed tables and chairs for visitors to experience. Many young people took the opportunity to take pictures with the giant elephant. Inside the premises, the owner designed many miniature landscapes to create a space close to nature. "Knowing that the cafe has a unique elephant shape, I invited my friends to come see and take pictures. From the outside, the elephant looks very big. Inside the cafe, there are also many spaces with rivers, streams, and ethnic stilt houses, giving us a new experience and making us feel closer to nature," shared Nguyen Thi My Linh (living in Vinh city).
