On March 27, the People's Court of Chu Prong district, Gia Lai province opened a mobile trial and sentenced defendant Ro Mah Pil (38 years old, Ia Lau commune) to 24 months in prison, suspended, for the crime of "Allowing an unqualified person to drive a vehicle to participate in road traffic".
In 2021, Rơ Mah Pil gave his 109 cm3 motorbike to his son Rơ Mah Tinh (born in October 2006, not old enough to drive a motorbike over 50 cm3 , no driving license) for daily use.
In October 2023, after drinking alcohol, Ro Mah Tinh drove a motorbike carrying 2 other people on an inter-commune road, from Ia Lau commune to Ia Ga commune (Chu Prong district). When arriving at Ia Lau commune, this car crashed into a motorbike driven by Ro Mah Tuyen (23 years old, also residing in Ia Lau commune) in the opposite direction. The accident killed 4 people on 2 motorbikes.
In the accident, the fault was that Ro Mah Tinh did not pay attention and did not control his speed...
